This aircraft isn’t very good at BR 9.3, especially when it hits up. It has no defense against an A-10 or any aircraft with HEAT missiles. They should downgrade it to 9.0.

It’s ok at 9.3, the problem is compression.
4-6 S-24 rockets depending on variant. As good as flares against every IR missile in it’s BR range. Additionally you can use them in headons.

It doesnt need that. You fly straight, hog 2 bases, rtb and farm activity time for rp.

the Su-7 was originally designed as a low level dogfighter, not a bomber
with no bombs, as the designers intended.
And it turned out to be unsuccessful at that role. Su7b series were made for ground attack.
It does have 4 napalm bombs available because designers intended so. You are passing off your wishful thinking as designers intention.

Isn’t it one of the strongest base bombers at that BR that moved up because it was stupidly OP in a downtier?
The A model was the fighter and they decided to stop the program in favor of the Mig 21 after 200 SU-7A’s were made
The B model we have in game is a fighter-bomber aka a strike aircraft.
So yeah you can you try to be a fighter, but you are not nimble and should probably play it more like an F104 than something that is capable of sustaining a dogfight.

The only reason it went down is because people base bombed too hard and made themselves free kills for 9.3-10.0 planes. It’s a very capable fighter that can also bomb, and people just don’t realize that.
