Gaijin chose worst of both worlds.
Fictional vehicles they didn’t want to have in the game anymore are still driving around, which obviously upsets people that want them as well.
Knowing gaijin, it would be convertable research.
It’s obviously hard to make ship prototypes because of their cost, so Naval having different rules might be understandable.
I’m sure other nations have unfinished ships as well.
Many decorations can’t even be obtained from crates, the marketplace, or limited-time reruns—such as the Panzerfaust, Bren gun, hats, or other 3D decorations. I think that’s really a shame, since they only ever appeared once

I’m a veteran player, I own vehicles that are currently hidden and… I wouldn’t mind if they come back.
They didn’t exist in real life, true, but War Thunder isn’t real life, it’s a game. I don’t want more vehicles like this to be implemented, but those who were should have stayed, for “fairness”.
Maybe remove them from the simulator lists, but that’s about it.
They weren’t branded as “exclusive” upon their release (not like rare premiums and event vehicles) so they shouldn’t have become so.

I don’t know. I really only played naval for the SL. I’m not a big naval guy. I just remembered Gaijin saying it has different standards for the obvious reasons that you also managed to mention above.

Just that the gun was build (Gerät 232), the Company sayes a completed prototype (in a hilary Doyle book iirc) and a after war collection of material by czechia mentions a AA tank with twin gun. Thats enough evidence.

Maybe, but if they wanted to remove fiction from the game, then removing it in a proper way is the only right thing to do. They just made plenty of people angry and haven’t even gained anything from it, as fiction is still driving around in 2026.

Yes, that’s it. It’s probably sometime of the kind that explains why the Z15 is on the list (built, but the in-game configuration differs from the real life one because the change wasn’t actually made).
