They didn’t intend to produce the Panther II with G turrets, because the entire reasoning of the program was to make a turret to fit the 8.8cm gun…
It wasn’t a place holder, because it wasn’t intended to enter production with a G turret

Dude, if there is no turret coming then it is not a placeholder.
If someone gave you a wooden taco for filming until the actual tacos arrive but they never do, then it is no longer a placeholder, cause the food meant to ->REPLACE IT isn’t coming.
I’ll leave this to you cause if i go any further i am positive I a gonna burst out of annoyance. So to stop myself i take my leave and take a breather.
if a actor dies mid filming they get his body double to replace him
If the actor dies, the film is canceled now i take my leave.
no fast furious 7 still realesed after paul died in a crash
Just take the L…
The REAL Panther II was never produced.
(Cough cough, P-II drawing from WWII at the proposal table)
I’d like to see some of the Leo 1 protos to come for Germany. Would be perfect for 7.3/7 depending on which model.
The Standard Panzer?

In addition to the T-33A, the 3 variants of the Fuji T-1 could work as replacements for the R2Y2s.
In-game the R2s function as jet fighters that can carry a single bomb, with no special spawns.
The T-33A would trade off the raw firepower with the ability to not just carry bombs, but also rockets, similar to the F-80A/P-80. Flight performance would be in line with vehicles in that BR.
For the Fuji T-1s, while lacking the amount of guns the R2Ys carry, is a more flexible vehicle.
Depending on the mission, its 2 hardpoints would allow it to carry different types of rockets, bombs (100lbs-750lbs/napalm), additional M3 .50 cal gunpods, or even very early sidewinders (which GJ could limit to necessitate BR 7.0-8.0 or similarly to the German Sea Hawk with its AIM-9Bs at 8.0), all while having slightly better flight performance when fully-laden compared to a clean config R2Y2.
As a plus, the Fuji T-1s satisfy the domestically-developed-hole the R2Y2s would leave.
Unfortunately Gaijin won’t do that.
panther 2 in game never existed and likely couldn’t have existed even if they tried same with the 105 tiger it physically was impossible, look at the model and note its rangefinder. there are no fake/mockup/fantasy vehicles in the soviet tree or any other tree but the japanse treee. the only soviet non existent vehicle is the kronstadt however it was layed down and alot of parts built so it technically existed just not fully made (gaijin will add layed down ships) oh and the amagi similar to the kronstadt but the hull was used as an aircraft carrier. and lets forget 7.7-10.0 german tanks that are primarily prototypes. but yes again gaijin hates germany.
Ostwind II, Zerstorer 45->One in-game is not the correct vehicle, it was a name error & laziness to properly confirm if that was the correct name , was based on a newspaper article and was added. There is apparently “Info” but doesn’t seem like anyone can find anything so a lot of us were calling those claims a bluff.
The only R2Y2 V1 has proof as the designer of it did believe that his R2Y1 would potentially be capable of using Jet Engines, you would need to adjust the design but not by very much. The V2 and V3 were artistical designs and should be removed, but occasionally returned similar to how the Maus is treated as it was made by an artist who was commissioned for it and it was probably one of the extremely few vehicles done by a private artist.
The Ho-Ri on the other hand was an incomplete project. The 105mm cannon was going through firing trials by the time the project was canceled due to A war ending or B resource managing.
i dont think this is the panther II
The Chassis remains and there is footage that it ran. However, the turret meant for it was never completed, the other guy refuses to accept that it wasn’t finished cause he wants a vehicle that was never built. In the configuration, it appears as in WT. Some of those folks are so hard-bent that Gaijin could bring them back despite them saying back then they would not, and the way that article was written was the developers directly saying “We are putting our foot on this and saying no, we will not bring them back”. Not quoted from that article just my interpretation.
The Kronschtadt is fake. Only the hull was ever finished, but the superstructure and armament were only blueprints and they didn’t even plan to finish it with the configuration we have ingame.
And @Zyranovos it is called “Schmalturm”, which literally translates to “narrow turret”.
Gaijin literately stated they will add laid down ships. a laid down battleship means plans were finalised and the hull has been build (mostly). a laid down ship is orders of magnitude more expensive, resource intensive and more planning done that a tank with maybe a mock up done. anyways you wont listen cause its against what you want but maybe think about it. napkin plans or wooden mock ups i can make in my back yard. a 20k tone hull, various ship parts, 14inch+ guns and plans for a city made of armour i cannot
Oh cmon, please use this thread:
PS. No, we do not have plans to bring back Tiger II 10.5, Panther II, and Flakpanzer 341 for research.
