You can run it with a Computer for not even 300€ stable on medium-high Settings.
And you don’t understand the concept of currency. 300E is cheap for you but for others that’s a dream.

You earn more than double of that by carrying out Newspaper when you are living in the West. The majority of the Playerbase comes from Russia, Europe and North America.
The average Chinese person nowadays earns over 1000€ per month, the average Russians earns around the same.
In Europe and NA you earn that by carrying out Newspaper

Warthunder needs to be playable on the PS4 and Xbox One which contain not to powerful GPUs and CPUs from 2013. There are lower mid range GPUs from 2012 that are faster than what those consoles provides
For as long as that is the case i dont see a reason to drop low graphics modes. And the low spec to entry opens up huge market segments around the world as even a older laptop from 2012 can provide a playable experience (not a good one, but playable cuz thats what i did early in my Warthunder career)

Significant amount of WT’s player base doesn’t live in a first world country. Electronics aren’t cheap in third world countries.
