Remove the Missile AA from "free vehicle" in Ground RB

Recently Gaijin added free-to-use Ground vehicles for Ground battles to help players who don’t have a full lineup. I have been testing this function and I can see both good and bad aspects of its implementation.

Giving players an extra free tank is a good addition, despite the tank not getting Toolkit thus not being able to repair outside of your team’s capture point. This part doesn’t bother me. What bothers me is the free-to-use top-tier AA’s that come with missiles that are impossible to dodge.

(edit) Russia gets the Pantsir S1, a missile that’s near-impossible to dodge with chaff, flares and maneuvering all together. Giving players access to such an overpowered missile, for FREE is bad.

Especially when facing Russia, you are now seeing half the enemy team spawning in the Pantsir or other overpowered AA and it very badly disrupts the balance of gameplay. I understand many players don’t like CAS (close air support) but CAS has been a main aspect of Ground battles since 2013 and the mode was designed with CAS to be a part of it, regardless of how you feel. So, the best thing to do is to balance tank vs air power.

Many players already have top-tier AA’s researched in their normal lineups, and so I strongly feel like these “free” AA’s with IR missiles with IRSST is bad. I think the Free AA vehicle provided should be a cannon-only AA like the Gepard 1 or the ZSU-23-4, for example.

We don’t need 10 players on one team spamming Missile AA’s that is just poor game design.

SUGGESTIONS for max-BR AA given:
USA: XM975 or LAV-AD
Germany: Gepard 1A2 (Stingers are good, but not too OP)
Russia: ZSU-23-4M4 (like Stingers, Strelets are good but not too OP)
Britain: Stormer AD
Japan: Type 93
China: PGZ04A
Italy: SIDAM 25 Mistral
France: SANTAL
Sweden: ASRAD-R (hard to choose one here, since Lvrbv 701 is pretty bad)
Israel: Machbet (20mm with Stingers)

This would give players a balance between having missiles, but missiles that aren’t overpowered.

So free food for CAS and a waste of tickets/player slot.

The issue that many of only CAS players dont understand, its that you need to spawn in early mid game, when theres almost no if low spaas.
If you spawn CAS in late game you obviusly gonna face more spaas, because the ground players already used and died with their tanks, and spaa its their last vehicle to use, pretty simple. You dont needed the free vehicle update to see this still happened before.

I’m sorry, but what game mode are you playing exactly? The balance of gameplay for ground shouldn’t be based on aircraft, free SPAA is not a problem. The game mode isn’t called combined arms to begin with, so be happy you can even spawn a plane at all. Quit complaining and get back in a tank.

Most people play Warthunder for its combined arms aspect, and hence want aircraft to be both playable and worth their SP.

True, but again, this is ground battles, the focus is going to be (or should be) ground. Them giving out free SPAA literally changes nothing, as these SPAA are accessible to players anyways.

Completely correct, CAS effectiveness drops a lot in the late game unless your team is pushing the enemy spawn, you have to get in as early as possible

The idea isn’t entirely incorrect, while free SPAA obviously help against CAS, this also means free targets to enemies pushing the spawn or skilled CAS since they’re all stock and probably being used by people not used to playing AA

Well yeah, maybe 5 min max, just rush the cap, get 1 or 2 kills and you get a plane. Even less sp for helis with atgm.

Uhmm so you know its possible? ka50/52 players did that all the time, now its less common, but still possible. But personally rather save my SP for better munitions.

At start and mid game its easier to use cas bc you face low if non amount of spaas. If you are crazy enough to spawn CAS even with 4 spaas present, you can still take them down with GPS bombs from close.

This video I showed you before, I spawned heli with ATGM in very early game (2 minutes after starting the match). Its very easy to do.

Now Im recently not playing too much CAS bc I have air fully grinded in my other main nations, and rn im focusing in grinding ground with my new toy (ZTZ96 P). And my only CAS its a p51 in china (which still I can get kills in 10.3).
