You mean F2 ADTW ?
Btw why not F18 A/C it ‘essentially’ is a F16… or do you want the model of F16
(Wouldn’t F16 with Fox1 be limited to just 2?)

100% agree F-16 ADF in USA/Italy and MLU in China are what I would consider the baseline/standard for what a 13.3 vehicle should be, very well balanced between defensive and offensive capabilities, strong at essentially any altitude making it a great aircraft for new players to learn top tier while they are still playing at treetop level and a potentially potent aircraft for advanced players who learn how to position, notch and pick targets wisely.
Honorable 13.3 mentions F-16D Barak II, JF-17, MiG-29SMT
Exactly
Won’t it be better to ask for aim9m/aim9LI for the ADF instead of removing AMRAAMs?
no because that’d make it 13.7.
wanna guess what’s also at 13.7? the superior F-16C.
The su-30mkk/mk2/j-11a is already at 13.3 with irccm missiles tho
yeah but have you considered that i’m talking entirely out my ass because i somehow entirely forgot those aircraft even exist
tbf those aircraft should already be at 13.7 but “statistics”
this is also true
The availability of AIM-9M being the reason for gaijin to decide your average F-16 needs to sit at 13.7 is ridiculous. AIM-120 are more useful, and usually I bring only 1 AIM-9M on the 13.7 F-16s, sometimes none.
I would have no problem giving all 13.3 F-16’s the AIM-9M and keep them at that BR anyway. The F-16D already got it, and it has HMD and more CM’s at the cost of slightly worse FM.
The 13.7 F-16s are also on the bottom end of 13.7 in their capabilities/loadout. Only the F-2A is a good 13.7 jet, mostly because of the AESA radar, but that isn’t really an F-16
F-16D also has vastly inferior FOX3s which is more or less the whole reason it’s 13.3 and not 13.7
Vastly inferior is a big stretch. They are slightly inferior at most, arguably a sidegrade if we ignore their autopilot bugs.
On the F-16C barak II I bring just a couple aim-120 and the rest are derby. I like being able to actually shoot something off bore at close range, even though they aren’t the best they are still a lot better than the aim-120 in that regard
Also the british gripen C is at 13.7 and is restricted to only 4x derby and 2 IR missiles. The FM is arguably better, but the loadout and radar are worse.
hows the radar for the gripen c worse?
I like the taller scan option of the grippy, f-16s have like almost no vertical coverage in their medium scan mode.
The gripen C radar feels similar to the F-15C radar, both are a bit worse than the F-16s.
The radars from the 13.3/13.7 F-16s have more range and a more reliable soft lock.
Their scan rate seems similar but the actual target detection and update seems worse.
I also don’t notice any difference between all the F-16 radars in terms of range and tracking btw, the block15 radars feels the same as the F-16I with later radar variants. (except the F-16CM, of course, since it has a different AESA radar)
yeah i definitely agree with you with that, grippy c radar ghosts more for no reason whatsoever in normal prf.
But for me, a bit of ghosting is a small price to pay for better vertical coverage.
there’s a difference in range that I can feel, but the actual tracking feels identical.
and range literally doesnt matter in wt anyways so its a moot point
The F-16s all seem to detect most jets at ±70km range depending on their size probably. But what I mean mostly by better range than the gripen/f15 is that you have far less “ghosting” beause the radar has enough power to track at range.
With the gripen/F-15C if I am tracking someone even at 30-40km and they change their vector the radar has a good chance to fail to properly update the soft lock in the next scan.
Its more detrimental for the F-15C than the Gripen with R-darters since the gripen can handle shorter ranges better
Those aren’t even the only ones with arh and irccm at 13.3 also
