I do not care if the ADF had amraam’s irl. I want fox 1 gameplay. Its more fun. Plus we have the c. It would be a very fun 12.7 fighter without them. I prefer fun over realism because it has no place in the game right now. And i want to play the f16 with fox 1s and i dont want to grind japan just for the AJ

Let me tell you, the F-16AJ sucks in the current 12.7 environment.
The 13.3 F-16s, on the other hand, are quite comfortable.
If you want Fox1 gameplay, I’d suggest sticking with the F-18A at 12.3. Its still a decent/fun FM with up to 4 sparrows.

Whats wrong with it?
It’s overshadowed by the other 12.7, like the yak141 and mig29. You only have 2 AIM-7F/M which are the only half decent weapon you get.
Then it shares the same BR as the undertiered F-15A.
At 12.7 I’d suggest the french F-16A or the squadron one which you don’t need to grind the TT for. No fox1 but they at least have AIM-9Ms
F16 ADF was so ass at 12.7 not too long ago when it had no aim120. You have F15A at the same BR and more missile to play with and aim9M instead of aim9L. So i suggest you go fly the F15A if you want to play a decent plane at 12.7
F16 ADF at 13.3 after it got aim120 is also not very good either. 6 missile hard points, still stuck with aim9L, overall, a very mid 13.3 plane and I dont think reverting the BR change and aim120 would do it any good. Personally, I think the issue lies in the fact that F16 is not a good plane past ~13.7 BR.

when the F-16A ADF was 12.7 the F-15 was still 13.0 and there wasn’t an uptier black hole. the F-16A ADF wasn’t ass either, it was very competetive.

the problem is that gaijin is compressing the shit out of 11.3 to 14.7 with no regard for balancing or fun value no matter what you use

I dont really care if its good. If i want a good fox 1 slinger at a similar br ill use the 18A. I just like the 16 as a plane and it sucks that it has no place in the game right now.
yea F15A was in a rough spot back then, constantly faces R27ER that completely stomp the aim7m. And now that its at 12.7, its in a much better spot, even tho the stupid 13.3 premium Su30 keep dragging it up and forcing it to play against fox3 and R27ER

12.7 is a better spot for the F-15 sure, but it’s a horrible spot for the actual balance of the game.
the problem is, again, the entire 11.3 to 14.7 BR range. the premium Su-30s multiply this issue because gaijin refuses to uptier this bullshit cashcow.
if the community had a proper hand in balancing, the game would be significantly better than it is with gaijin at the helm of the balancing ship.
F-15A just play it
The F-15A was never in a rough spot. It didn’t face any problems exclusive to it.
There are/were some 13.0 that are in a rough spot, like the Sea harrier FA2, Mirage 4k still are. And the Belgian F-16A was till recently

then why not go play the F18? it perform similarly. The major difference between the two is that the F16 is a bit faster and doesnt bleed speed as much as F18 but overall a comparable plane imo

French squadron F-16 is better than the Fake-16AJ at the same BR
It was only strong because people didn’t know how to use the 100m MP height and not take advantage of the Su-27s at the time terrible flight model
those major differences are exactly what makes the F/A-18 not perform similarly to the F-16

doesnt matter really, su27 and mig29 dominated high altitude and will slap anything out of the sky that dare to go up against their R27ER
