Have you tried playing the objective? you focused so much on your epic fighter kills and forgot there’s a whole game out there, no wonder your tickets bled out
You don’t seem to know what you’re talking about, doing objectives (killing AI and bombing bases) does have an effect on who wins the ticket dispute, you’re also being too emotional over a game
it really doesn’t and it has been proven over and over. AI aircraft are removing tickets here and there, and some aircraft have better suited armament for this, and some other aircraft have better performance. FW190F’s, Yak38s and MiG15/17s have horrible air to ground cannons, whereas A4E, Me410 and Su-6 have great guns for ground attack. Having MiG17s in your team while the enemy’s ai are Skyhawk already seals your fate even if you ground pound, because the migs will just fly around while the a-4s will eviscerate a pillbox every ten seconds (where you take around 20 to do the same unless you have more teammates)
I know very well what I’m talking about because i’ve been playing air RB since i downloaded the game in 2018 and double the amount of air battles you played since 2015.
So not only you are not reading at all what I say because you’re hungry for an argument, but you also have zero idea of what you’re talking about and pretend like ground pounding is the only thing that drains tickets.
Killing the entire enemy team drains all tickets at once.
Clearly didn’t work out for you, otherwise you wouldn’t be here complaining
Despite some maps have actually major design flaws and sometimes whole groups of ai planes (usually your own) decide to commit collective suicide by crashing into mountains, i strongly disagree with your “no control at all” claim - on most maps you can influence the outcome with strategic game play, at least at prop BRs.
So assuming having a map without design flaws, smart players can decide tight matches with small but decisive actions - therefore ai planes add just another layer of complexity, and complexity is generally a good thing as Air RB was “dumbed” down in the last 3-5 years.
Btw - an actual “auto ticket bleed” means that the tickets for both teams drop in parallel (with the same ticket bleed) at certain time intervals - without any ai or player interaction. This is rather rare and imho limited just to very old maps.
You can influence the “standard” ticket bleed by killing enemy ai planes at the right point in time. In my last match i played 1 vs 2 (my last friendly was a Ki-49) for the last 15 minutes - against 2 good pilots which played very well as a team and covered each other perfectly. So instead of “overcommitting” i kept them busy, waited until they went for an ammo refill (they had 3 kills each) and killed 3 enemy ai planes and 1 ground unit to increase my ticket lead. The 2 enemies wasted too much time covering each other whilst rearming and in the meantime my own ai planes reduced their tickets further. The ticket lead became that large that all i had to do was to be a constant threat above their heads for the last 6 minutes and wait for the 25 minute timer.
A last word: You are fully aware of how this game works, if it some issues favours you, everything is fine - if the enemy use the ticket mechanics to their advantages, everything is bad. This thread reminds me on a similar thread: You complained about losing by tickets due to a 50mm Me 262 killing pillboxes on Poland - whilst you killed 11 pillboxes for ticket win on the same map as you turned a massive ticket disadvantage to a ticket win the day before. My reply as a link.
i dislike ticket bleed for both of us if it’s automatic, even if I win on tickets, because I might be dogfighting some guy or wanting to find them just for the enemy tickets to dip off. It’s not fun. It just shortens the game more than the already short 25 minute timer.
You can’t run away for 30 minutes can you gg
I don’t run, mostly because I main energy dogfighters like the cl13b, the yak3 and the f-16, not rocketships like the f2g, the f104 and the f-15.
Ok so to not loose I’ll just fly to 15,000 m and do laps behind my airfield for 20 minutes until the match timer ends, totally fair.
Attackers ending a game in 3-5 minutes is stupid, but so is every game lasting 30 minutes.
Frag the enemy AI aircraft…
it doesn’t always remove tickets.
This is peak 0 reading comprehension.
Bleed By AI is the whole point of the thread, not player induced ticket drain.
please buy me a Sony A7m4 camera while you’re circling around the airfield. This way you’d be helpful.
I don’t think you know or understand what he is talking about.
As he says, he is talking about Auto ticket bleed.
Where the game literally plays itself
At the moment we have auto ticket bleed and a timer, there should not be both as this allows for players, which i am guessing like yourself, who like to ground pound in an Air RB pvp setting, then you can literally just run away and do absolutely nothing and the game will continue to play itself.
This is not good gameplay. This is air RB, not Ground pound RB.
If you want to attack ground units and bomb bases, then sure, do your thing, but there should not be an advantage for doing that in an Air RB setting.
We don’t have it in Ground RB where there is AI flying around the sky for us to shoot that will affect the tickets do we? So why do we have it in Air?
AI planes on all maps (there are a few old maps without) were added some years ago - except a few ai planes on the old Berlin map ai planes were (and are) mainly seen on Pacific maps.
I totally agree that ai planes should be eliminated - but imho they are mainly implemented to support spading stock planes, so the outcry (“Grind gets even harder”) within the community prevents gaijin to even think about that.
As written earlier: It looks like we talk about something similar - but we use different terms.
Auto ticket bleed:
“Standard” ticket bleed:
Interactions of own and enemy ai air and ground units and impact of player PvE actions.
So your claim:
is actually the “standard” ticket bleed without PvE actions by players.
Regarding these statements:
You have to address this to gaijin.
They decided to transform Air RB in a low skill grinding tool (May 2020) with the roll-out of respawning bases. They solved the problem with their inability to balance base health for prop bombers and the gigantic payload of F-4Es (March 2020) at the same time.
On top of that they created the illusion that there is no need to learn the game mode as new players can research entire tech trees with base bombing (with overpriced premium pixels) with little to zero PvP skills.
I agree, but as soon as you realize that the game mode Air RB is optimized to support new & fresh players to allow them to participate in Air RB without any entry barriers (like learning ACM) just to lure them into spending money for high/top tier premiums capable of base bombing.
As long as a base kill produces 3 times the amount of RP compared to an air kill of an enemy player nothing will change.
On top of that - at least in theory Air RB has a small PvE component - despite the fact that most matches are decided within a TDM set up. So Air RB bundles PvE and PvP game play. The fact that PvE became useless by killing the win condition “Enemy Airfield destroyed” is another topic.
Last: Even if you try to address some design flaws on certain maps there is little to zero community support. You see from time to time a rant thread - that’s it.
So if you would be gaijin - how would you react to the OP? I see no structure, no analysis of the results of changes which are requested - just a rant due to a loss streak based on wrong decision making.
The objective is destroy all enemy aircraft. That decides the game most of the time. Skilless PvE sucks for the PvP oriented nature of the game. How come ground battles can have NPC-free games, yet air is full of them?
YES I LOVE YOU MANTIS
BEST OPINION YOU CAN POSSIBLY HAVE!
