Everyone calls him that cause he simply is. We all already know he doesn’t play RB so why he’s in an RB discussion is beyond me
I mean, yeah, but arty is in the both modes, but yeah, I get your point.
I’ve died to arty recently.
I had my tracks shot off or engine dead (or transmission. Was immobilized). I dare say that was a well deserved death on my part. I would’ve done the same to another tank I couldn’t pen or otherwise threaten without dying.
Arty is very nice to give tanks that suck at corner fighting (bad reverse speed, jumpy gun, bad armour) a chance to win encounters they’re forced into by map design.

Also, to be fair, arcade is actually fairly difficult, because the enemies almost always know your position.
Of course you resort to that.
I don’t play RB often because of CAS. It’s way more of a threat than artillery.
Artillery is an after-thought that you as an … “experienced” Rb player are afraid of?

Yeah I hate it. It feels amazing to finally have a tank capable of reasonably winning such encounters at long last (Centurion. Awesome reverse speed and trolly armour). Corner-fighting maps beforehand were pure torture if flanking was not possible.
You’re also faster in arcade though
If I can move a Kv-1/ZiS-5 out of an arty zone in RB, you can move anything other than a TOG or Maus out of it.

Literally doesn’t matter if you aren’t a heavy or medium tank, to be honest.
Light tanks in AB are bad- they cant take a hit, their speed is nullified somewhat, and they cant stealth at all. Their armament tends to be poor, they are vulnurable to air attacks and artillery- AB is a light tank’s nightmare.
For other tanks it can be easier, but to do really good you have to get into the mind of your enemy. You have to instinctively know where they are pushing, where you can place your tank so that they will either not see you or will be forced to aim quickly.
It’s not just a game of flanking, stealth, spotting, etc. like RB is, its a game of both boldness and patience. It’s a game of instinct, of reactions- not more difficult then RB, not easier, just different.
I think artillery in ground rb should function similarly to artillery in arcade mode where you get artillery strikes for your preformence in game

I think artillery should be available for every ground vehicle in game and not be limited to certain vehicle types like it is now
The start of the round arty spam is one of my major issues with it. If it were only given to vehicles they can’t reliably kill other vehicles, then that would eliminate the spam. Players would also need to put more attention to how they choose to use it.
If we replace it with the precision strike thing from the Mechanized Infrantry Aprill fools event, then that would eliminate the random chance issue aswell. Heck, maybe even make it a modification so people can choose between the 2.
But if you give it to vehicles that can’t really kill anything you make artillery obsolete
it makes arty far less of braindead spam crap
