I think you need some perspective, almost all of your commentary reflects poorly on your understanding of the game and how it should be played.
Have done a dozen or so GRB battles in last couple of days.
Plenty of deaths from CAS (always nice to have a P61 strafing and bombing my BR 3.3 panzer IVs).
Not one death from artillery, even while capping.
We should also remove spalling as thats completely random RNG as well

Oh no some one tries to flush people before the get to the cap zone so their team has more time to get to it and cap.
Because of how ineffective artillery I personally have gotten more team kills than Normal kills because that most players don’t even consider it when they see it warning them. I still think that artillery should stay how it is and maybe lean towards the way it functions in arcade
I now have one complaint about artillery.

Like all you can hear is planes when CAS is in the air or a teammates tank firing when they are next to you? It’s called in game sound, you kind of get that er…in game.
Specifically meant artillery shelling. Somehow I had a game where it was going on nearly non-stop for multiple minutes.
To be honest ,I watch a lot of replays and I am surprised how many players dont even use artillery as it shows on the screen.I am surprised more players dont use it as it is a source for kills if you have a good crew.
I mean I am not saying your issue is not a true issue to you but it could be worse.Artillery in this game is really only mortar fire ,its not a real barrage by any means.
Generally I find the sound quality of this game to be really poor considering my headphones were nearly hundred pounds uk,I prefer WT without phones, I get a better sense of sound direction.
The only problem I have with artillery is the penalty you get for killing teammates with it. It’s one thing if you call in an artillery strike on a bunched of camped friendlies, but it’s frustrating to be penalized for killing a teammate when they drive straight into the orange smoke that you called directly on top of an enemy. It’s not super frequent that it happens, but I don’t even usually realize it happened until after the game ends and I see the penalty.

Everybody dies from CAS in GRB - else players wouldn’t choose to field them.

Of course, if You die faster than any CAS can even appear then You won’t die to it.

What a terrible idea lol. Artillery is the queen of the battlefield for a reason. When a foe is entrenched, holed up or you’re in trouble, call in artillery.
