Lol go buy an Xbox or PS5 and show me how to use this aimbot then mate just rofl…in arcade mode both PC and console have it in Realistic neither do console does get a camera tracker for tracking aircraft it has no way to select a ground target to function like its actually impossible… Your probably getting clowned by PC players who bought a special illegal mod that tells server they consoler along with ESP and an aim assit dragged out of arcade rules file and placed into realistic… Thru personal investigations I cant actually find cheats for war thunder that work for console ( I hate cheaters and work to bring them and their sites down) but very easy to find that stuff for PC mate

Just because some people go out of their way to buy those extra accessories doesn’t mean everyone else will do the same, and by the numbers they do not. Why does someone need to spend an extra $100+ on a steering wheel and pedals for a racing game when a controller works just as well? Why should someone buy a fancy fighting arcade-style board when the controller works just as well? Why VR kits when their TV/monitor works just as well? You’re glossing over the fact that consoles aren’t cheap, and have gotten pricier as the years have gone on yet will continue to remain cheaper than a PC - And there’s nothing wrong with that, nor is there anything wrong if Joe down the Block chooses to buy a console instead of buying a PC for his gaming needs or vice-versa; So long as Joe is playing his PvP games, if he plays them, fair and square against his peers who gives a damn what platform he’s playing on? I sure don’t.
You are completely sidestepping the fact that those extra accessories don’t come cheap and are completely unnecessary in the face of a good old-fashioned working controller. They are entirely optional to buy - Not mandatory. If you’re the type that buys that stuff to make your racing/piloting/shooting game experience more immersive - Cool, good for you. Do your thing. However, keep in mind that you are a minority in that regard both in the console-side demographics and the PC-side demographics. Even most PC players don’t buy that stuff and just work with the good old-fashioned mouse and keyboard.
I will also remind the class that not every console game has M+KB support because the game was designed to be played either solely on console or the dev studio left that functionality out strictly for the sake of balance when it comes to any multiplayer aspects. Hell, the same applies for PC in regard to a lot of the games on PC not having controller support.

Yes, keyboard and mouse is the bare minimum for this game, indeed. PC, Console? Doesn’t matter.

I have both a very competitive gaming laptop and my console and I still choose to play War Thunder on console because I can. My controller works just as well for this game outside of a few keybind issues and where there’s issues I compensate without having to break out any extra equipment.
It’s tempting to say you may be one of those dudes that gets salty when a console player takes you out. You almost do sound like one of them, after all.

For those of you who don’t understand aim assist, it can not lock onto tanks in anything except arcade, it can only lock onto planes, helis, and drones in ground rb. Stop acting like it is aimbot against all things as that is misinformation. Also don’t forget that radar spam have a lead indicator which is aim assist in some form. So if you were to remove the aim assist on console then we should remove lead indicators as well so all is fair.

I’ve been on PC for the past year and I would never want to go back to console. The assist controllers get for tracking aircraft in GRB is very minimal.

As an ex-console player myself, the advantages a mouse and keyboard gives you over a controller with situational aim assist are vast, this is a non-issue for 99% of the player base.
You can snap your aim to planes instantly and have lead on them. That’s pretty big, even though you can’t also do it to tanks.
Even if it’s not perfect aim at all times, it’s a significant advantage over mouse and keyboard AA and can be used for spotting targets you otherwise don’t see.
If you we’re to see my aim on aircraft you’d think I have aim assist, it’s really not hard to have accurate tracking of aircraft on mouse and keyboard.
Feel free to try and replicate it on controller with no aim assist.
