It’s not the main reason for that ‘feature’ though… It’s because of the usage of a gamepad and a pair of sticks in the first place.

But what if I want to use joystick, or a controller? Console players can get mice and keyboards also working.

That controller, and those like it, and even button boxes and the various joysticks that everyone can get, aren’t anything to that aim assist in that sense.
So this ‘toolkit’ that you’re pushing here is merely a profile… It’s not anything special.
The only problem with it is that you can play console with mouse and keyboard.

The aim assist is more to do with the game controller in the first place than genuinely being for the disabled.
Think about anyone else though… If someone had that assistance, and got you for it, obviously, without the need for them being disabled or anything like that, do you understand the reason to be concerned about it?
It’s not that you aren’t affected by it just because you don’t use it, it’s about the others using it…
Do you understand the idea of looking at things, before proclaiming a hill is to be died on?
They can play the game because they can hook up a mouse and a keyboard to their Xbox or PlayStation. They don’t have to play with a hand controller, end of story, it’s unfair that they have automatic lock on by pushing a button on their controller, you aiming the gun automatically swings, and shoot and kill your tank!
I’ve been playing this game since it came out, and they shortened the battle maps, which is not right for modern armor, and there’s never been a shortage of players, it’s like this. Watch the video of an Xbox player killing my helicopter when he can’t even see it because I was sitting on a helo pad
Sorry can’t agree with this as pc has numerous advantages over us console players. Key binds, point click and kill, and other benefits that a pc has over console. Also, while not relating to playing, we have no ability to access the marketplace.
Ideally it would be great if there was a cross platform console vs console, PS vs XB, but that can’t be done. When I select cross platform option I have to go against pc players despite their numerous advantages. If I could play strictly against other console players including XB, I’d probably choose that option. Seen too many suspicious plays and they come from pc players. When the 238 was released it was all pc players sitting in spawn with their turrets spinning around and doing nothing else.
Finally, if gaijin were to remove aim assist there’s a likelihood that the l console players would leave the game. Gaijin, I’d think, would like to encourage more players to WT and not drive them away.

Let me put it to you as simply as possible. Barney-style, if you will…
People don’t buy consoles to then spend more money on a mouse and keyboard when the consoles come with controllers to use.
Controllers that are meant to be used to play the games on those consoles with.
And most of those console games even in this day and age don’t offer mouse and keyboard support.
YOU wanting to force other people to buy accessories that their consoles didn’t come with just to play the game the way YOU want is absolutely asinine.
War Thunder is available on consoles and offers controller support, therefore people playing on console will primarily use controllers. If you as a PC player are having such a massive time just fighting console players who only get access to a target tack, not an aimbot - Then it’s YOU who has the massive skill issue and not them.

And if the target track needs to go? Then so does ULQ settings because those are sanctioned cheating and allow people to crossmap snipe people through concealment that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to outside of ULQ. It’s cheating that only PC players have access to.
So, basically the main problems I think are
1: people on consoles can use a m&k Along with the auto assist. making every spaa basically radar guided while nullifying the effects of controllers
Aim assist use to lock onto the nearest aircraft through anything. Rocks, trees, terrain. Basically made it impossible to go undetected from a competent console user. (Though i’m not to sure how it is these days)
Aim assist is still an bootleg aimbot, even though console players need it to be effective.
The console controls should get a full rework to keep up with pc players. (Perhaps making things more automated, But less player controlled?) Also agree with ulq being taken away.

Since I’m not interested in having to repeat myself here I’ll just quote what I have said prior. You PC players continue to falsely overinflate what it can do. It is nowhere near as omnipotent as you people love to claim it is.
And yes, it was nerfed so you couldn’t track targets that were out of direct sight, which was a good thing because that shouldn’t have been happening. That got fixed.

Ok so if you know anything about the real cheats you can buy you would know that you can also buy a mod that puts a console player id on the gamescreen …many many people cry about console players using aim assist in GRB except we dont actually get it we get a camera tracker for aircraft it does not provide lead it centers it on the aircraft …alot of these complaints about aim assisted consolers are false id’s ( they people on PC using aim assists and fake ID’s ) so yea bud probably was cheating on you but I actually doubt he was on a console because hard as I try to find them to prove they exist on console I cant find them but they very easy to purchase on pc…
You are a sitting target in the smoke. The first mistake everyone makes after being disabled while moving is smoking themselves before trying to return fire if possible - It makes you an obvious and easy target when out in the open. Additionally, binocs can be used to aim your gun at a target before you change to gunner sight and fire.
I’ll also remind you it’s only a track for AIR targets and not ground in realistic. What part of what I said prior did you fail to comprehend even though I broke it down Barney-style?
Imagine playing this game on a controller, le mao. My PS5 is restricted to controller-focused games like NBA 2k, Mortal Kombat and the like. I’d buy a keyboard and mouse if I was playing War Thunder on it.
Edit: By the way, it’s weird that some people see a console as purely a minimalist controller experience. People have been buying accessories for these consoles since the dawn of time. My first game on Playstation 1 as a kid was Formula 1 97’, and I had a Mad Catz steering wheel that I used instead of the controller (which cost quite a bit back in the day). People still buy steering wheels, fancing fighting controller boards (for Tekken and the like), VR kits, and yes - keyboards and mouse for their consoles. Just because you’re on a console doesn’t mean you can’t use a damn keyboard and mouse. It’s not some insult to your console lords.
Yeah, man, you’re funny. It works on Xbox and PlayStation all the time I can use it on my PC in arcade mode, but I don’t. Because it’s an aimbot, but I can’t use it at all in realistic battles on my PC, but on Xbox and PlayStation, they Do use it use it all the time!!
