Let me put this straight. We all know what the issue is and saying there is no issue is either act of cowardice or support for perpetrators. It is still funny when now and then one sees a Locust attempting to ambush a modern MBT, or a biplane dogfighting a 4th generation jet fighter. Don’t get me wrong- I love this, but not at the cost of others’ gameplay experience. But it’s become more and more of a case where those people contribute nothing to the team - team of other, equally treated players, who very often use boosters, sometimes of high value, in hopes of good match. And it’s not even as bad in ground Battles, where often after dying in their low BR vehicle, player proceeds to respawn in another, more suitable. It’s way worse in Air Realistic Battles, where more and more people use a method of one person taking a top tier jet and other players in their party picking definitely defenseless at this BR propeller planes. It is not fun. Not when enemy team gets easy kills right off the start, player slots in matchmaker that were rigged against existing rule of common sense, player slots that could’ve been taken by players with vehicles actually befit of BR the battle is set in.
My suggestion comes down to a simple conclusion: make it a rule, so that a player cannot pick a machine further in BR than 1.0 of any other player of his party in Air Realistic Battles. For the sake of you caring so much about players’ experience - think about all those who have been wasted because their team decided to be useless from the start. Those who had hoped for a good game and received a rigged match. Those who, and I really mean to stress this, PAID LIVE MONEY, for premium time, limited-time premium machines, maybe even high percentage single-use boosters, and have been literally robbe because of loophole in the Rules.
Yeah. I dont have a problem with someone in grb taking a meme tank since it is only one dude.
However, the fail squads are an issue, mostly in arb. I just leave matches when i see my team has a lvl10 in a top tier premium with like 2 lvl5s in reserve bi-planes.
I created a suggestion about this to the devs, it was never even approved to post 🙄 it was mainly that you could only enter battle in a squad if you have vehicles within a certain br requirement based on what the squad leader was using. I don’t think this was an unfair suggestion but apparently someone at gaijin didn’t like a common sense idea.
We’ve lost several battles that came down to the end because someone in a Abram’s brought 2 buddy’s with reserve tanks, normally I wouldn’t care but when it costs be the rp win bonus on an already excruciating grind it gets old fast.
I have no tolerace for Fail Squads and since Gaijin still outright fails to do anything despite reports it’s up to the players to put them in their place. If they want to fool around they can do that in CB - There’s no place for it in actual matches. It’s intentionally griefing the entire team because a squad of braindeads thought it’d be funny to screw over the entire team for some " fun ".
Also, a 1.0 max spread on squads in ARB is necessary. That’s how it works in the MM as a general rule of thumb since all we get to use is a single vehicle, so the same rule absolutely should apply to squads - Any squads’ twisted ideas of " fun " be damned.
“I break the rules because I don’t like that other players are doing things which don’t break the rules.”
@Pacifica@Smin1080p_WT@Stona_WT Does admitting to violating the rules in text form (especially unapologetically and with intent to continue) not qualify for the appropriate in-game time outs?
This refers to cheating (as in hacking, botting, etc).
Nope. Griefing requires intent for the act to be griefing. “I’m going to goof around with my friends” is not griefing, while “I’m going to screw over my team for fun” would be. It doesn’t doesn’t matter how said player’s teammates feel about it, only the intent.
Otherwise we would have to consider every single potential action and choice which places personal fun over “the team” to be griefing.
Which would make me flying in Air RB with a stick griefing. Or using the proper tank optic placement griefing. Or not setting my audio settings to the absolute min-max ideal griefing. And so on.
Also covers sportsmanship-like behavior, which troll squads do not respect.
By bringing outside of the standard MM BR vehicles you are literally griefing your entire team because you are flagrantly sabotaging the team’s chances of victory because 1 or more players have vehicles that are objectively dead weight. Purposeful sabotaging is very much griefing and is very much unsportsmanlike conduct and against the rules.
Which is not up to individual players to define, much less make themselves judge, jury, and executioner for.
If bringing lower BR vehicles were against the rules it would have been fixed and also punished sometime in the past decade. It has not, because it is not.
Teamkilling is against the rules, bringing low BR vehicles is not. It’s actually that simple.
And even if the devs made it against the rules tomorrow, that doesn’t change that teamkilling is also not allowed.
None of this relates to someone bringing low BR vehicles into a high BR match…
Intentionally disclosing your teammates location to the enemy though, or blocking a player of your team into a corner to make it so they can’t go anywhere, that’s bad sportsmanship and griefing.
Well, in my case Gaijin knows I won’t intentionally teamkill again this year.
Punishing me for something I knew was wrong, and won’t do again, makes no sense.
Those with patterns of behavior should probably be punished.
