Regarding the Hull Armor of the M1A2 SEP V3

Should that better armor also stop rounds from penetrating the cheeks when they get un-angled relative to the direction the dart is coming from ?

I promise not to bother you anymore, @Smin1080p_WT. Will the development server reopen so we can see the changes in Abrams?

The dev server is currently not planned to reopen this weekend. Subject to change of course.

Are there any plans to Folder the SepV2 Trophy or at least put it in a different line?

no the grind cannot be easy you need to siphon every drop of free time into this game for months on end for 1 vehicle

It’s not always on the ground… use your brain.

This is what TheEuropeanCanadian said: he said that Gaijin took the easiest possible approach — they took the weight changes and equated them to armor. They did not take into account the increase in protection due to new technologies, meaning that the LFP of a 1980 tank and the LFP of a 2020 tank can have completely different levels of protection against kinetic rounds. But Gaijin simply found a 500 kg difference and now they are just going to turn it into a steel plate.

Would it make sense for the team to analyze the data regarding the fiber optic upgrade in SEPv3? Real engineering documents show that replacing copper wiring with fiber optics reduced internal weight by about 3 to 5 tons. If the tank lost that amount of weight in electronic components, but the total combat weight still increased to 73.4 tons, this physically proves that the factory added much more than just 5 tons of heavy composite armor to the hull and turret. If the game simulates weight, it also needs to simulate where that enormous density went. I’m excited about this possible change hahaha, sorry again. @Smin1080p_WT

-To buff relikt: no evidence needed

-To buff abrams’ hull armor: we need documents that clearly state by how much the armor has improved but we won’t because they are classified so deal with it

They’re buffing the LFP.

Are you serious?

Not to make things worse, but apparently some of the images from this dev blog come from a twitter user by the name of @Kreyton_M1e1 which put time into sourcing and finding the info. Could you atleast credit them for the sourcing since you clearly didn’t find it yourself?

It is not that serious. Stop being an overdramatic baby.

Even if it’s not a reduction of 3 to 5 tons of electronics, there was a reduction; modernization wouldn’t maintain analog equipment when a digital equivalent exists! And a question about the 500kg: it’s impossible for it to be 500kg of steel, I totally agree with you, but what if we consider an increase of 500kg of composite (sandwich) or even consider the hardness of DU compared to steel? I could have less material and more armor. DU is denser than steel, and for armor purposes, a weight-to-armor ratio shouldn’t be the deciding factor. I can have the same steel strength in DU, weighing less or the same.

It would be 12.0, but the premiums keep it below 12.3 because that would be rank 8 and they can’t sell ground rank 8 premiums

The third picture shows the Australian Abrams, but it’s not representative because it’s an export version

In this particular post, we’re talking about a 1500-pound reduction, equivalent to 700kg. This was replaced by extra armor? The standards to revise M1A2 SEPv3's armor NEED to be revised and calibrated - #2379 by Alpharius11348

What’s the source for the fiber optic upgrade? I’ve never heard of that

If anything, some army sources suggest the opposite
