I don’t see a problem with giving IRIAF the R-73, I think it would be funny even, but it wouldn’t affect performance much because the entire point of the R-73 is HOBS shots and the F-14 can’t do HOBS with the R-73
There is an Iranian modified missile based off the aim9 called the fatter that has a (supposed) better seeker head
But I believe there’s even less info on it than the fakour 90

After update BR - F-14 IRIAF is unplayable even with 6 fakours - 90% battles on uptier. Before changes i kill 1-3 planes per battle now if i get on kill it is good. Have somebody the same problem?
I dont have much experience with the IRIAF Tomcat as I dont enjoy it. I feel like its BR is way too inflated, its such an easy kill for me in even my F-4M. The Fakours arent even a good missile in game they’re so unbelievably easy missiles to avoid, I dont think I’ve ever been killed by one unless I makeba mistake lol. I reckon it could probably go back to 12.7 and be given the P-4s if nothing else. Go back to 13.0 and give it R-73s would be good too
yea the F14 IRAF was stupid on release and people called me crazy for wanting it to be uptiered to 13.3 and well would you look at it now, it’s exactly where I said it should have been
The fakour is hands down the best fox3 in the game for medium-long range shots cuz it has the fastest time to target, beating every other fox3 by a margin, it’s retarded.
Overperforming? Most likely. Gona be fixed/nerfed? Probably not cuz it’s a paper missile and just like every other paper munitions/tanks/planes, we dont have enough evidence/source to correct it
Gives the R-27ER a good run for it’s money too, especially given the R-27ER doesn’t loft so actually takes a shorter path to the target.

doesn’t help that the phoenix seekers only appear on RWR at 5 to 8 kilometers making it virtually impossible to notch in time if you aren’t prenotching.
not a problem in ARB since you can see the plume and predefend, huge problem in sim where you will likely die

The fakours are still the most cracked long range fox 3 in the game.
By far the hardest missile to dodge early game. Friendly f14s also steal ny BVR kills. Should of been left at 13.0 with 4 as only 14.7 can now avoid being in the same games as them

gaijin in there infinte wisdom buffed the FAKOUR 90 using reports from the HAWK missile to give it 20G pull even though they dont share the fins as the FAKOUR 90 is s AIM-54 not a hawk
they used a source from the MIM 23 hawk to give the FAKOUR 90 a AOA buff on its fins despite the fins being 2 different fins

Don’t most 13.0+ rwr tell you that a f14 is targeting you because even in the f14B I can tell when people are targeting me in soft lock or hard lock

Idk, since stats decided if vehicles go up or down, i just assumed it must be dominating
Im too busy going mac 1.6 at 13km XD The missile disrupts/ controls all BVR at the start, a 13.3 jet forcing every other jet in the game into defence much earlier than anything else is pretty OP in itself. Fakours are a massive pain in the bum.
