Situations like this are why the top BR needs to go up so much higher, to at least 13.0 or even 14.0.

It has flares and two missiles with good range and enough Gs that they can’t be dodged in most scenarios. So, it deserves to be at the same BR as the F-4C imo.
I feel like you have a skill issue… you can dodge AIM-9G, whilst it does have flares it only gets 60, it’s a Harrier so can’t go supersonic, and it gets outturned by nearly everything unless they have a skill issue. I feel like 10.0 would be fine for it. If you’re going to make that argument, A-10A Early gets 2x AIM-9L you cannot dodge, and it has a lot of flares so it should be 11.3 right?
If they were to properly fix the ordnance (add AGM-65D / -65G, allow 4x Sidewinder, add TGP & assorted Laser guided ordnance, etc.) and revise and add various mechanics like RWR & ECM pods I think it could support be that high , but in comparison to something like the (Y)A-7F or F/A-18A it would be basically redundant in terms of WT so would need to be carefully balanced.
To aircraft without flares there is little difference between the AIM-9L and AIM-9M so it could support those changes with little impact on effective performance.

A-5C is the worst airframe at 10.0. There’s a reason every 10.0 is superior to it in capabilities outside the Magics. Su-17M2 is barely okay at 10.3, it’s worse than the F-4C.
Harrier GR3 is barely good at 9.7.
The Su-17 was fine at 10.7 if it weren’t for the BR compression up top. No way in hell it should go down from 10.3. The A-5C has extremely good energy retention and can ratefight almost everything. The harrier has rubbish manoeuvrability and energy retention but has engine power for days.
No, the Su-17M2 was not fine at 10.7, it was made 10.7 due to its airspawn it hasn’t had in well over a year.
It’s barely better than the F-105D & arguably as good as F-4C.
Considering MiG-15bis and stuff compressed the 8.0 BR’s while some aircrafts are dominant currently, i would at least add +0.7 there.

As one of AIM-9G spammers, unfortunately, there are no ways to dodge AIM-9G without flares in the current meta.
It’s been long established by multiple people on the old forums that the F-4C can get CMs (and even better missiles) with plenty of evidence to back it up but gaijin insists on keeping it at 10.0 with no CMs for some arbitrary reasoning of “balance”
So tbh just give the F-4C it’s countermeasures, AIM-9J and AIM-7E and move it up to 10.7 along with the MiG-21MF/SMT while ejecting the F-5E back into 11.0 hell(give it 9L) and that should help a lot.

It is quite likely that it carried a IRCM pod; the AN/AAQ-8.
I know the image is likely of an F-4D, but the unit is a composite wing [tail code makes it either a Block 22 F-4C, or Block -29 F-4D].
If you’re referring to the document that listed the loadouts for the C/D that was circulating. Someone posted the next page which showed which variant got what. It turns out only the F-4D got access to CM’s between the two.
You can if you have a plane that’s fast and pulls and rolls well enough… when 9G runs out of rocket motor and slows a bit, it can’t pull hard enough anymore to follow a barrel roll. I’d say outside of ~2.2km you can do this. But you have to see the missile and time it right, and your plane matters a great deal, eg. an F100 isn’t going to do anything against it, but a F4C, F104, Mig21, Mig19, etc, they might.
9G will absolutely rock your world when fired below 2km with lead… 18G missile with burning motor, yea goodluck with that. It takes some deal of luck to outmaneuver it at such short range, but I’ve done it myself and I seen others do it too, but mostly you are just done.
Best defense is still just not giving any good firing solution to start with. The planes that carry 9G aren’t really the greatest at the mid jet BRs.
