Reduce AiR RB airfield AA effectiveness for props and create a separate pve game mode for attackers/bombers

so you want a fighters only mode? well arcade is right there

To reiterate:
I oppose all airfield camping as indicated in my first post here.
Which means I support SPAA being OP at airfields to prevent that airfield camping.
AND I support idle time limits to prevent the other airfield camping, though that also prevents space climbing.
After 5 minutes of a team gaining no score, they start bleeding tickets.

Apparently opposing all airfield camping makes me a menace.

so you have no issues with current airfield AA then, we have come to an understanding

no, I have no issues with the actual vehicle and shell modeled top tier jet aa
the unmodelled prop aa is what I have issues with

And the solution to this issue would be Gaijin actually modelling the AA which would still result in fighter players having a melty because they keep rushing the airfield, I’m perfectly fine with the idea then

In this I do agree. The flak is a bit:

“nothing nothing nothing, dead”

Would be cool to actually see a proper flak barage and if you stay in it too long you die.

But thats an issue in every gamemode and at every BR. The AI is either totally useless and you can ignore it, or it will insta snipe you the moment you even think about going a inch too close. There is no inbetween and there probably does need to be an inbetween

Case in point: Random map AA at 11.3 in Air sim at the moment:

it’s also what the thread is about. With jets the situation is completely different.
Thinking about it from an in real life pod it is hilarious that is far easier to dodge modern AA with missiles compared to some flak lol.

Now i want you to be able to read what i said correctly.

BTW, this was his intended meaning which I got from his initial…

And Giovanex’s post bended the meaning of @NOT_AN_ENEMY 's opposition to airfield camping.

But you know… context doesn’t matter.

Something something glass houses.

Airfield AA is already hitscan and can’t be dodged.

Ah yes the “tactics” of flying into an impenetrable AA bubble, and the “playing the objective” of giving up all my altitude to go hit ground targets while they climb to 2km above me.

720kph is slow?

yes, I could see long 88’s or whatever mixed with gaz-aaa’s or whatever gaijin decides to mix and match around prop afs
we already have the models in the game if they decided they ever wanted to do it

Yep. AI controlled AA is something gaijin really needs to take back to the drawing board and start again. I think it would fix quite a few of the issues

ww2 era aa just blasting you at 720kmh like a cwis system is frankly unrealistic and ass for gameplay so how about change it

Yeah he just wants to rearm guys trust, but every time I turn away to give them space, players like this will immediately start climbing on my 6 to come after me.
And if I turn around to face them, there’s a VERY high chance they’ll just turn back too, because they OBVIOUSLY just want to rearm and are totally not abusing hitscan AoE AA that just deals a fixed amount of damage to every part of your plane equally every few seconds.

Also, this subject already has a topic:

Do the objective bro your team is alive and well, you don’t need to waste time dancing with them, lmao

The third and fourth point is what makes the difference.
People that pad their KD will almost always result to running directly over base defense in order to survive the game. KD padding is not about getting the most kills…its about getting the least amount of deaths.

A lot of the time even getting into a position that can mildly threaten someone will result in the player running back to their airfield. It’s not because they are out of ammo or anything of that matter.

J Wick is especially notorious for it where he likes to talk down to people because he thinks he is better than the average Air RB player because he plays on a stick and throttle. There is a whole entire game mode that is basically dedicated to stick and throttle gameplay…and he can’t even get off the runway in it. In fact I think the reason that he sticks to Air RB is because he doesn’t want to have to play the game without giant red markers or in cockpit view because he runs the risk of actually having to learn how to control his plane and maintain situational awareness.

When your whole strategy is running away from anyone who gets to co-altitude with you and within 10km…you kind of need to have red markers and know exactly what plane it is.

couldn’t care less about community drama, take it to discord or reddit tbh

I’m not gonna give the most OP plane of 4.0 an altitude advantage just because he chose to do 500 laps around his airfield.
