I don’t think you are understand what airfield campers are. Airfield campers are people that stay near THEIR airfield because the AA of their airfield will shoot down anyone that tries to go near them.
If there’s no anti air protecting them they would camp their airfield because they would get killed anyway

Airfield campers try to justify their behavior by trying to redefine this.

Prop AA should be modeled as actual AA like jet AA and not some weird AoE death bubble hitscan relic from 2013 before gaijin could properly model ground units
Generic light AA should not be hitting people going 700 kph 5 km away through a mountain after like 10 seconds
We have the actual vehicle and shell models now, and gaijin has shown they are capable of doing it with jet AA

No lol, I just don’t want to wait 10 minutes because a lot of people can’t stop themselves from running back and circling around their airfield when in danger.
I’ve absolutely no problem with letting players who rearmed even climb back to a decent altitude to engage them, let alone leaving them to J out.

Which they only do if there’s a 10km distance between their airfield and the enemy cause landing takes plenty of time.
An enemy camping their airfield means they HAVE to wait until they leave to rearm due to how useless SPAA is most of the time.
They’re not camping, they’re waiting for the campers to leave.
Your scenario should be provable with screenshots… All you’d have to do is screenshot your map of where your friendlies are in the alleged instance of an enemy airfield camper.
Certainly they’ll all be at the center of the map…

I’ll say though, in sim there’s actual vehicle AA.
It’s insanely powerful. Whenever I tried dive bombing or strafing a convoy, or even just fight over an A point where a convoy is passing by - I regularly got oblirated by AA.
While a good idea on paper, it should be combined with gaijin making a pass at the AI SPAA accuracy.

oddly enough we where pretty close to the map center at first… and that’s beside the point
That’s not how it works lol. If I win dogfight/get a better position against someone and that someone starts running towards his airfield I should be allowed to follow him without risking to immediately get obliterated by his AA.

A typical demand of a subpar player - like in countless other posts and threads over the years. Seriously - you don’t even manage to get a 2:1 K/D (520 kills vs 347 losses & a 55% WR = lmao) and simply ask to remove an obstacle like af aaa which prevents you from getting free frags.
Whilst i fully agree with your analysis regarding skill deterioration mainly caused by masses of players interested in getting somewhere else instead of enjoying the here and now - your conclusion that nerfering af aaa would change anything is nothing more than a wild guess.
You are even a worse player than the OP - Golden rule: No clue = stfu
