Realistic Aiming

I didnt say i want removal of third person … More realistic aiming - Yes, and someone came up with parralax effect which i also liked. When it comes to Third Person camera view i only mentioned that it give huge advantage when someone can see you completely hidden and also aim at the same time

That is part of what makes it rb and not sb. If you want, suggest for it to be an sb only thing.

I feel like youre trolling or not being serious at all … if you have nothing constructive to say about this topic then please stop commenting.

I am just saying that you should suggest it only for sim.

Maybe “you should” just stop commenting.

@markimash is right. What you are suggesting already exists in SB settings thus RB settings wont change in that manner. What in reality should be is RB settings should be as SB while SB should lean more to sim. Since Gaijin doesn’t want/have means to change SB settings, RB will remain as it is.

Nah. Sorry that I am not supporting your idea. I would recommend playing sim though. It is closer to what you are looking for.

All is he saying is that i should go play Sim Battles or play GHPC instead, he isnt right about anything, he must be trolling or something …

Also i wouldnt make a discussion on ground realistic battles if i wanted to play sim battles.

WT is constantly changing game, some time ago we didnt have stabilizers or thermals, they even once said modern tanks wont come to the game, but here we are …

Yes, but majority of WT SB community doesn’t want those changes. It was tried to initiate changes many times for lots of stuff to make game more realistic and players simply refused.

There were numerous suggestions for at least aiming be transformed into relative controls instead of mouse aim. And majority of players said no.

There were also numerous suggestions for commander view aiming reticle to be removed as it negates parallax (points where barrel is pointing). And majority of players said no.

Gaijin treats this game as arcade shooter with different difficulties (AB, RB, & SB) because all vehicles have exactly the same control in all 3 modes except power boost in AB. So until SB difficulties change RB wont change.

So why would players dont want these changes? I think the player base is just difficult and maybe gaijin shouldnt listen to community that much because they dont care, they dont understand how “making something better” works … or they are just afraid of changes cause they got used to it and change wont benefit them. This commander aiming thing should be changed 100% how broken is that? Only retards would say “no” to change …

Its realistic mode, shouldnt it be freaking realistic ? But these cry babies will hate, please dont change oh my god my world will collapse my life will end … damn it whats the point

Didnt you say you want realism?Well thats realism for you.Commander aiming is realistic.

Because they want arcade shooter with higher difficulties Gaijin made in the first place.

Realistic is just a name. Before ground forces were implemented it was named Historical battles but it was changed due to ahistorical battles started to apear.

Simulator battles should be the most difficult but as i said controls are the same accross all 3 modes. Only air assets in SB have sim controls. When tanks in SB get sim controls and realistic difficulties maybe then and only then RB might change.

Also when speaking of realism IRL T-34 76 doesn’t have gunner & commander but one person doing both jobs so shooting from commanders view shouldn’t be possible. Also tank didn’t have turret basket or seat attached to turret until 1943 turret, so loader walked inside tank when turret was turning and couldn’t reload gun while turret was turning. In game it can.

Gaijin also uses RoF as soft balancing stat. M18 has nerfed RoF just for sake of balance.

Don’t bother too much with realism in WT especially realism which would make 2 game modes similar RB & SB. That change would not happen.

Forcing gunner sight on RB should have been added years ago, this should make tanks more dynamic and slow down the pace of top tier a notch. I think this would be a win-win for everyone.

If they wanted to slow down pace they could make barrels physical objects long time ago. But they obviously don’t want slow pace battles.

Combat also starts at much longer ranges in that game. The maps are based on the real Fulda Gap region, too. Add in the fact that the Russians still haven’t been added to the game with their better ammo. You’re fighting East Germans with subpar ammo. Warsaw Pact will actually be playable once the Russians are added in.

Hmmm…could be because one game has been around for over a decade and the other is still in Early Access and is being developed by a small team with no advertising budget? Could also be because War Thunder is an arcade game meant for a broad audience and the other is a simulator with a more niche audience in mind? War Thunder has more in common with DCS: Combined Arms than it does with GHPC.

GHPC is more like Steel Beasts Pro PE lite. BTW, if any ED devs read this, please show Combined Arms some love.

Yeah. You can also setup aiming so that you use a joystick, but why would you handicap yourself so?

Battlebit.

Well done, you have explained perfectly why mechanics in GHPC, should not be copied over to war thunder.

Hardly compares to a tank sim. Minecraft + Battlefield = Battlebit

First person shooters will always be more popular than simulators.

Your turret follows your mouse unless you’re a console player so it kind of has though. The difference is that you can’t do repairs or replace crewmen in GHPC, and War Thunder doesn’t do the lead computing at all.
