Reducing the RP gained per base destroyed with rocket-spam is a massive W, it was about time to force the premium fighters to use their brains to play instead of bombing a base and eating the ground immediately afterwards

On one hand, I understand.
Most often, you’ll see these “bombers” load up on hardly any A2A, bomb a base or two, then either RTB, crash, or get shot down.
But as a pilot who loved fighting, I liked being able to load up some (comparatively) light armaments of rockets, bomb a base, then turn into combat and get a couple of kills. The bases were easy RP and I liked being able to pick up an extra (at the very least) 5-10k RP every match.
Most recently, I’ll compare the rewards of a 5 kill game, no bases; to a 3 kill game, 1 base; while in a premium aircraft (Mirage F1C-200) in a premium account. Both games ran about 10min long. The 5 kill game, I got a respectable 17k RP and 110k SL. Not bad. The 3 kill game, I got 33k RP and 120k SL. An extra 16k RP just for killing a base.
I would love to play as a fighter in fighters more often, but when the more RP/SL lucrative of the two play styles (base bombing v fighting) is more so focused on the former, who can blame players for just wanting to go through the grind quicker?
Or how about F-104S Starfighters? They’re more or less known in the communities for being able to go fast, strike bases first, and get out of trouble before it caught up to them (usually, Mirage F1C-200s with Magic 2s omitting). They were at 11.0 (11.3 in F-104S.ASA’s case) and are now at 11.3 (12.0 in F-104S.ASA’s case) and are hardly worth flying because of the furballs that top tier is now. Good luck going for the targets you want when you have one good turn before you turn back into a fantastically aerodynamic brick. Furthermore, good luck trying to use a team adequately without getting called a rat for interrupting a dogfight, which is one of the few ways you’ll be able to get a kill, and thus, RP/SL. Using rocket pods on the F-104 was better than bombs because of the ability to outpace other base bombers, and now the difference is negligible.
Don’t hate the players that use their aircraft in a multirole sense, blame Gaijin for giving bigger bonuses for bombing bases.
-40% in general? Didnt notice much of an issue in RP for my Bucc giving it a bash… when I got to the bases xD
Though I did use 1000lb bombs, are they not hit by it?
Before the Update i got around 5k rp for a base in arb now i get Only 3k Same 1000lb bombs.
The biggest nerf is to FFAR type of rocket, to bombs isnt that big
Thats fair, my problem is with F-4S kind of people who will fire all the rockets and die against a mountain bc they dont know how to pull up, they do not contribute anything to the match
40% of rewards seems pretty big and you’ll feel it when youre out premium time.
the grind keeps getting worse and worse and games dont feel rewarding anymore, unless you bomb bases
It is a big nerf, a needed nerf, it doesnt makes sense that the equivalent of 60kg of TNT in rockets does the same damage to a base as 3000kg in bombs
That’s exactly what I did with F-4E.
I loaded enough FFARs just for 1 base, but then I immediately turned to the fight with 4x7s and 4x9s.
The base was just a good additional, extra RP.

i dont get how some part of the community favours such a blatant nerf to rewards.
They couldve reduced the damage of a single bomb instead of nerfing their rp overall
I can only speak to the Tornado Situation Right now like i said before the update 5k rp per Base with 6 1000lb Bombs. 2 Mins ago i got 3280rp total with a 30% booster for a base.
Not sure why don’t at least increase the respawn timer for bases.
It is necessary so that those who spam rockets stop being useless in the game, if it was my call i would increase the A2A rewards.
For planes like the attacker Tornado its unfair, i agree, my main complain is for F-4S/J35XS kind of players that just goes for bases and end eating the ground in the process

Because it bothered them on a personal level to see someone score easy RP and they felt it was unfair. I imagine they’re far less vocal about the mechanics that favor their style of play.
I get the same experience while playing Russian tanks. You play well and sometimes you’ll get people in American or German tanks complaining about Russian bias, etc., after you score well or get a lucky hit on their tank. These same people become deafly silent after I switch to an American or German line up and get the same, or a better score. The funniest situation I witnessed was when two players on my team ganged up on someone on the enemy team in a T-34-85 calling him a “hacker” after he got 7-8 kills. I’m there, sitting in my M18 with 16 or 17 kills like “if you believe he’s cheating, what do you think of me?” and got no reply lol.
Base bombing RP hasn’t changed.
Sometimes i wonder if you really play or do you Only comment on the forum?

<6 minutes for over 5300 of Ju-288.
Usually my matches are faster than 5 minutes tho with that aircraft.
Faster with jets.
