Isn’t the F-8F better than the Typhoon??? Like it’s going to climb very high. Both of them have quite similar guns too. The F-8F is also like 50km/h faster then the Typhhon. no?? It also have better climb and turnrate according to the stat.

I don’t have the C.205. I have and love the C.202, however I seem to be completely alone in loving the C.202. I’d place my bets in C.202/5 winning, but I know everyone would disagree.
As for the Ki-61 and A6M, their interaction with the F8F is identical to every other plane they face.
Considering how helpless an F6F was against Typhoon, I highly doubt an even worse turning F6F will fair much better.

Dude - fly the F6F-5 with a HOTAS & without instructor (like me) or with mouse and keyboard without instructor. If you play otherwise you run into instructor limitations and you waste the potential of the Hellcat.
The Hellcat outturns a Typhoon and a Yak-3 every day of the week - all you have to do is to keep your energy high and avoid vertical maneuvers. In other words: Proper energy management is essential.

Yeah, it doesn’t feel that amazing, even at 4.7, since it has like no energy retention.
I mean I killed a bunch of K-4s by just diving to the deck and reversing them, but they also turn like bricks and their guns have pathetic range compared to even a Yak-3.
