The most pain you can dish out to punish CAS degens at 8.0-9.0 is PGZ09 and M247, it also take little to no effort since the computer calculate the lead for you. This is also a reason why I have the most matches in this br, the good time when the 279 is immune to bombs up to 1 ton, I actually count that I have single digit death-by-bomb out of 300 total deaths during that time, until recently they kinda removed the bomb resistant probably a year ago, so it starts dying to smaller bombs even 250lbs could reliably kill it. Funnily Ru actually has the weakest SPAA in this respective br lol just pray that every match we get teamed with china or USA so they covered the air space without much effort

Yeah, I make sure to take both PGZ09 and WZ305 in that 9.0 lineup :) sometimes I prefer the HE-VT instead of AHEAD rounds.
Yup, Shilka is okay, but no match for other nations SPAA at that BR. I typically take the MiG-17AS out to patrol the skies, instead. Wish the Soviets used HE-VT rounds in their ZSU-57-2, lol.
Yes I’m having fun otherwise I won’t play it. I really like the “virtual museum” aspect of the game for vehicles that is unique for an MP title (GHPC is my second favorite for tanks, but that’s a different experience). Playing tanks using some of their IRL behavior is cool even if the implementation is deeply imperfect and can lack details I know I know.
Some people in this community take the game way too seriously and act like there is no fun if their favorite vehicle is not like they expect IRL or they are not grinding it fast to completely ends up in some kind of perpetual anger/depression, that’s crazy for me as it’s a f*cking video game. Yes there are things that are broken/unbalanced (maps, battle ratings), teammates can be a huge PITA, but that’s no different than other famous multiplayer titles on the market (CS, R6, LoL, CoD/BF), taking a step back won’t hurt.

Not at all the game was not designed for the players to have fun, it was designed to frustrate , annoy and try and get people to part with hard earned money to pay for what is essentially just lines of code, possibly the greatest scam ever invented.
I just treat it like any mobile game just to occupy a bit of free time it is not really worth any more consideration and thought, it is far too flawed to be anything else.

I have fun but not every single match, some times it gets both frustrating and even infuriating due to THINGS but otherwise i have lots of fun when i play my favorite vehicles and succeed with them or when i see players fighting each other in chat cuz theres a comfy room for freedom of expression so you can be yourself without any filter as it happens in other games which were heavily censored in that regard (there are games where commonly used words would be considered an insult in a different language for example), i wish there was some kind of proximity voice chat so that we could have more interaction between random players
game just needs better maps, new main battle modes and some experimental changes related to battle rating bcoz its a system thats hard to balance

But is it good for CAS?
No
In air realistic, I like to play between 10.0-12.0, because you have usable missiles, but can still dodge others without being scared for your life. In ground realistic, I prefer 8.3-9.7, because you get APFSDS, stabilizers and fun vehicles to play, while its still not actual top tier.
I love 8.7 US GRB it is my favorite BR ahead of 12.7 bc of the XM800T and nuke printer.
For ARB I rly like 11.3 with the AV-8B (NA) and F4E and also 8.0 with the F86A-5.
Should I try to get the F15E? Im 50k in for the B57 so then Ill get the 66 and 105 and 2c 111 to get the 15E it would take about 700k rp instead of 400k rp to get the 15A rn.
Do you actually enjoy the harrier at 11.3? I only played the one at 9.7 so far and it seems like its the only actual usable one, since it is pretty slow and at its BR, the speed is still alright. Change my mind.
I love it.
How I play the Harrier is either use the Mavs to grind or use the 9L’s to take out unsuspecting enemies.
Also I use the Mavs to kill A10s sometimes too it is such a fun plane.

I guess its similar to me loving Tornados. I never played Britain and only have the German ones, but those are also really cool. They are so bad at dogfighting and generally helpless at their BR., but I like taking out targets from the side with the 9Ls for example. They brought one at 12.3 too, with the IRCCM 9Ls, which is even more fun.
