if your close to the target and cant find it, exemple they are in low alt and the terrain make it hard to spot them.
use Irst search and lock. its scan faster than the radar.
other option that can help is upgrading you pilot awarnese in the Crew point

yeah thats the scan zone with the bars you see moving on your screen and on the radar scope, sadly on the N001 radar its fixed at 50x10 scanning area and cant be changed
it can be changed at most other planes radars example N035 below:
so, like its available on some planes but not all???
yeah thats just how it is, with it being based on IRL capabilities of each individual radar set
Oh, okay gotcha and then just a quick last question for the horizontal and vertical thing. I have it set to the up and down key binds, but it feels like it doesn’t move/switch when I press the button and then for whenever I’m facing these two planes how come one of the planes show up on the TWS but the other one does not?
for some reason on the N001 when trying to move it to left or right it takes a second for it to actually move just hold your left or right arrow down for a second and it should move.
And i should have said for vertical i use the up and down arrow on Radar/tilt control axis instead to move it up and down
Thats most likely because it was not picked up, the N001 radar is kinda bad and suffers from ghost targets, not always picking up on targets since its a fairly poor radar set
Oh, okay so it works just sometimes ghosts one plane but the other it does not??
yeah its just N001 jank, also use TWS HDN instead gives a bit better results with scanning for targets (still not the best but its more usable)

TWS HDN works best early game, mid-late game switch to TWS PD since HDN is more prone to filter people that aren’t heading directly towards you
