Nah, sherman and t34 stz lack in a lot of things, the sherman lacks in armour,penetration and it has a really high profile, but u get stabilized gun and good mobility, the t34 lacks penetration, and depression but u get low profile and good armour, the panzer IV does have almost everything it only lacks a lil bit of armour
Oh my bad xd sorry, well, u get a 8.0 ammo at 6.3, it was 6.0 a long time ago, again, it is not a beast because also Israel low tier players are just average players, u get a really good gun with really good damage, and the mobility of a sherman so it is good, but u sacrifice the stabilized gun for that, i use the m51 even at 7.0 and it does a good job

both T34 STZ and M4A2 are better armored and are extremely difficult to kill a 3.7 M4A4 has zero chance against them

The only good thing about Panzer IV is the gun. The rest is subpar compared to other tanks. Armor? Cant angle and you still get onetapped when hit cause you are massive box. Sherman/T-34 can angle and resist more. Sherman gets stab on top of better armor profile, T-34 gets angled armor which is again better and better mobility. The Panzer IV can only be played as a sniper,which 90% of maps doesnt allow for.

Theres a solid shot round that could be added as well, not like its amazing but its got roughly the same pen as its current APHE but its far far better at angled armour giving it more abilities to take out T34s and Shermans

Imo its fine at 4.3 but i know all the weakspots of tanks off the top of my head to get the kills that people starting the game wont know and the gun can only carry you so far. equally same as any other tank though.
pz 4 j should stay at 4.0 but also get the wizard cool shell
From playing the pz 4 myself at higher brs than it is, its really not that bad even when i made the mistake of playing when the Kv 1E was on sale

Neither have anywhere even close to the same armour kv1 zis 5, their turrets are simply far weaker. I would agree to the m4a2 need to go up to 4.3, but 4.7 is just overkill for these, considering that the vk 3002 is 5.0
That being said the pz 4H has no business over 4.7 either, it is probably fine where it is now at 4.0, but i could see it go to 4.3 like the chi-nu II.
M51 is very situational.
Sluggish with meh armor at 6.3 and crap reverse. So as a sniper, it needs to kill in 1 shot (not easy with HEAT) as it wont be able to scoot back.
And on a map with lots of cover like trees, it really struggles since it has no AP rounds.
Since 75% of your battles are uptiers, leaving it at 4.0 is fine. It will see 4.3 and 4.7 opposition plenty of times.
if by good mobility, you mean the worst of all 4.0 by a good amount, then yes its got “good” mobility.
also should be stated, if the panzer 4h goes up, so does the m4a2 and t-34s, because theyre all pretty much equal

It got moved because it basically has no armor and isn’t that great a tank. The only thing it has going for it is “big funny gun”. Which only matters against stuff with decent armor.
Just cause i know how to play a tank doesnt mean that THAT tank in specific has to go up a full br up
Just cause i know how to play the Turm 3 doesnt mean it has to go to 10.0 cause “It can be used there”
By that logic and proofs,make the Yak9 whole line go up to 12.7 cause i mean…why not,they can kill a plane if you know how to play them
It shouldn’t go up anymore, it’s already a bit situational but putting the Pz IV the same BR as the Hetzer or JgdPz IV is insane.
These vehicles DO NOT perform well overall.

Great gun, but the rest of the tank is pretty mid. On war thunder’s tiny maps, it can get bullied by Chaffees pretty easily

turrets are only slightly weaker than KV1 and i agree it should not go over 4.3 i just want the Panzer IV Hs equals to be same br
the CHI NU II is 4.3 and i think that thing is over brd
“Slightly weaker” is quite the understatement, dont even pretend that they are in the same field, specially with the zis 5 where you are basically imnune to 75mm kwk40 rounds properly angeled, you can literally pen the stz with an ostwind at short range…

Pz IV H is not that big of an upgrade over the G or J. M4s are way better.
