Not really, aim9M’s are still among the top missiles currently ingame
What are you talking about?
They are the worst top tier missile.
Stop claiming absurd things.
Nope, still incredible missiles
Stop pretending like you know.
Best ir missiles are R73,R27ET, Magic-2 and AAM-3
Aim-9M is the worst one among them.
At least learn before empty talking.
I do know, play them regularly
They don’t, they already have the 9M.
And based on their current additions, consider that to be both sufficient, and the most they want to give to aircraft with its type of IRCCM. You could make a small claim against the AAM-3 here, but the actual difference in envelope between them is almost non-existent.
This is a want, not a need
It’s even more funny in that case.
You play with them yet you have absolutely zero idea, lmao.
This shows using something doesn’t equal to having knowledge about it.
Try not embarrass yourself more.
That’s not the argument you seem to think it is.
They’re great missiles, I’ve played them enough to know how to use them
And I played all of them to know that Aim-9M is the worst ir missile at top tier.
Your opinion doesn’t reflect the truth in slightest.
No they are hella mid and unrealistic!
Its not my opinion
It is, wanna check the data mines to see which is the worst IR missile at top tier?
Spoiler alert: It’s Aim-9M.
Already looked at the datamines, still great there too
No we need it
F16i with 6 missiles on 14.0 will be extreamly underpowerd
Its a worse f16c on higher br!!!
It needs python 4 and even then im not sure it will be so good
Yea let’s compare then:
R73 has thrust vectoring, same range and better seeker for close range while having harder pull.
Magic-2 has better pull with better seeker for close range.
AAM-3 is basically Aim-9M but pulls harder and has better range.
R27ET: Shares same seeker that R73 has, pulls harder than Aim-9M and has insane range.
So what were you saying again my clueless friend?
It’s not just flat out the worst.
It is entirely based on scenario, and there are ones where it is better.
The point is all of the current end of line IR missiles have a place where they are best.
Python 4 would just say F- that I basically get to be the best in every scenario.
ET does not share the R-73 seeker, it is worse.
ET has a 1.33° FoV, R-73 has a 0.75° FoV.
It is almost “doubly worse” and directly relevant to the type of IRCCM they use.
Python-4 seeker can be nerfed to for gameplay purposes, just like how AAM-3 nerfed.
Now sure it will be best IR missile in current state but that’s not excuse to not add them while other nations has much better Ir missiles.
It uses the same gatekeeper method that R73 uses, granted it’s seeker is more sensitive against flares but method is still the same.
