Proposed Churchill nerf is ridiculous

if you were to look at the current winrates for any russian vehicle for last month at top tier, ive looked at a handful and none of them are above 50% currently (that includes both BMPTs, they fell of one hell of a cliff). Take that info and then look at the Churchill which was already sitting at a 52% make the jump to 58% and you see why they moved it up. I dont think Gajin is targeting the Churchill because its not russian, it is just overperforming that all there is to it.

low tier russian bias absolutely exists. The only change to any KV is the 85 getting a buffed reload and the Yak-9K is untouched.

The KV-1B and KV-1E both moved from 4.0 to 4.3 off the last br change and the KV-85 suffers winrate wise so they wouldnt move an already underperforming tank up. While i can agree the Yak could go up, idk if they will do that but just looking at the stats the KV-85 performs worse in the winrate department by a wide margin to the Churchill.

This entire set of Br changes is undoing every bit of decompression Gaijin has done in the past couple years.

The Is-2s and all that going back down for genuinely no reason.

Meanwhile vehicles that genuinely NEED to go down, Like the Tortoise, are stuck. and have been for eons.

Honestly the Tortoise would be useless no matter what they did due to garbage APHE mechanics.

The thing would need to get its Historical 215mm frontal armor, and the 300+mm Pen APCBC Overcharge round, then go UP to like 7.0-7.3 to be useful. just to escape the APHE nonsense.

its undoing like one single decompression change they did from like mid last year, all the other decompressions theyve ever done are still intact

brother if you think the KV-1 is significantly worse than churchills, you’re just not experienced enough. Both are very comparable, but the KV-1S has always had APHE. Insane that you’d post this

KV-1S is just a strong, but faster, and has always had APHE.

But here we are, all of the people celebrating it going up admitting they don’t know how to deal with something you can easily kill, outing themselves as inexperienced. Some of these guys are level 100 too.

Gaijin also seems to think that they can decompress tiger 2s without completely ruining the BR bracket that is a full downtier away from them. Real fair for 5.3 games to be 6.3 uptiers more often than not because of how popular Tiger 2s are

I think the Tortoise would be unironically decent if it got the APDS that was developed for it. Finnicky APDS mechanics aside that shit went through a Jagdtiger frontally irl

I remember someone saying that they were disgusted at how braindead the VII was to play and like, brother there are maybe 3 maps in the 4.7 map pool where it’s actually just straight up broken and one of them is North Holland. It’s the most map dependent heavy in the game because of how garbage the 75 is at sniping.

The only people playing the Churchill VII before were specialists who were putting up with the british 75, most people got filtered by that gun because it was just terrible before the update. A tank played mainly by specialists is of course going to have a higher winrate than a better vehicle played by more people.

The churchill was good enough to be the same br as the kv1s with its AP. Now it has APHE.

If the kv1s lost its APHE, i would not be surprised if it dropped in br.

The Churchill VII could have dropped to 4.3 if it didn’t get its APHE. The british 75 was just that abysmal.

It probably could have.

But it has the most broken round type in game now.

Not to mention weaker opposition due to lower BR…

He did say that in the end of the part you quoted.

The 75mm AP was workable but very annoying due to it being uncapped. If there is a capped shell it could get, that would help.

Yeah, was quite surprised to see that.
They have decent kill-rates for their current BR.

On the other hand, will now pair nicely with the Jagdpanther at 6.3 and makes using a 6.0 Panther a little more palatable…

Yeah and that is what drive vehicles up in BRs look at any of the french tanks its happens a lot with those tanks.

it wouldnt have dropped to 4.3 the tank pre APHE was hovering around 52% winrate which is not a sign of a tank suffering at 4.7.

I’m not saying that it would have, I’m saying that it could have and nothing much would have changed other than a bunch of senrai players crying about the new invincible british tank with an extremely mid gun.

The Cromwell is in an area where Volumetric starts to become really annoying for low velocity mid pen rounds like the 75 so the mobility is very very nice plus its armor is not amazing. Cromwells are lower than T-34s despite being the better tank because T-34s have volumetric armor that make them really annoying to shoot at with slow and small rounds
