I would like to propose the addition of helicopters to the air simulation mode. I believe the helicopters in the game, especially those with a BR of 10.7 and above, are excellent within their respective BRs and highly capable.
Currently, in air simulation battles, ground targets are rarely engaged effectively. While aircraft are often difficult to find and take down, many helicopters are equipped with very powerful missiles that are hard to shake off, especially when piloted by experienced players.
Proposal Details:
Helicopter Addition: Introduce helicopters to air simulation mode, adding more balance and variety to the combat experience.
Reasoning: Helicopters bring a different dynamic to the game with their guided missiles, which are hard to avoid or counter, especially in the hands of skilled players.
Helicopter Missiles: These helicopters are equipped with guided missiles that are very effective, making it challenging for aircraft to counter or evade them during combat.
Objective and Impact:
Increased Strategic Depth: By adding helicopters, players would need to adapt their tactics when facing both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters, increasing the overall tactical diversity.
Enhanced Player Experience: More experienced players could focus on upgrading their helicopter skills, which would contribute to the overall strategic complexity of matches.
With this addition, air simulation battles would become more engaging and balanced, offering more strategic options and encouraging more dynamic gameplay.
I would like there to be Helis in Air SIM(however they should have mouse aim controls cause playing stuff like the Hueys is agony with sim controls) Air sim is much more alive than Heli EC(takes upwards of 10-20mins to get a match) and it would make the devs actively work on improvements to Heli EC(I.E Gepards no longer being an iron dome system for the convoys in Heli EC that beam down anything within a 2km radius against helis like the AH-1G or Mi-4). In In conclusion, less time spent matchmaking, no OP SPAAGS, it gives MUCH better rewards, ect. (Helis that are OP like the Ka-50 can be upteired so they wont melt shit with their very good A2AMs)
I guess I care less about the formatting and more about exploring the core ideas put forward. Your first post did nothing to forward the discussion. That is worse than using ChatGPT in my opinion. Your second post at least added to the conversation, buried in your sarcasm and snotty attitude.
I would very much like to see a new mode for helicopters. If possible, a strike mode with helis and strike aircraft. Do not know how they make that work without improved AI enemies, but I would love to expand into helicopter gameplay if there were a real mode focused on them that was at least as entertaining as GRB or ARB.
It’s a really tough balance, because a well played aircraft with a decent radar would never allow a heli to get anywhere. Likewise a well played Heli could camp at the end of a runway and just spawn kill
It would be fun, but not sure how it could be implemented in such a way that it doesn’t just cause chaos.
Ai helis though, now that would be a really interesting objective to add
Think a good way to balance this would be to just have area defense aircraft be sent after them? They waste missiles on the incoming a.i. and get more distracted while actual player’s take off?
Hmmm, would having a.i. squad heli’s help? like bringing backup vehicle’s with you to change into?
The defender’s for the attack group aircraft on sim map’s seem to have better a.i. i think.
Unless I’m going schizo lol.
As for the second, yea. Heli a.i. would need to be made. But they already got a good outline with Single mission squad’s so maybe a c/p with a bit of editing.
(Wouldn’t happen to know a good cdk tutorial? might try making my own code for it if possible)
Id would love to see Helis AirSB, where I see the problem is on where to Spawn them helipad, in a 128x128km map ist going to be a Nightmare to traver that distance
It doesn’t say specific examples, or anything directly relating to the game, it’s all surface level stuff that means absolutely nothing. This makes them quite easy to spot.
They can be trimmed to fly well if they don’t fly well. And you can map change controls mode to a button and change to simplified. That will you SAS. Or is it impossible change controls mode in GSB?
