Proof of LDIRCCM capability in IIR against Laser DIRCM

And do you know what?

This is an LDIRCM dazzling an IIR seeker
image

Not much different from a spatial flare or even a normal flare

The MISSILE would LOGICALLY switch to IOG in order to not be fooled by this countermeasure

But SOMEHOW, in Warthunder, the missile TRACKS the countermeasure. Gaijin has made the IRIS-T worse than the Aim-9M when it comes to LDIRCM.

i fixed it by removing 1 line…

in fact i can even upload a usermission of it lol

China? China also has the same irccm, I believe it went to other nations in game too

As far as I know DIRCM is a thing on helicopters from several nations…

not even that, its seeing exactly what it needs to see, hell the closer it gets the more of the aircraft will become visible and the track will get better as a result

for anyone who didnt understand this part, with decrease in distance, relative apparent object/target size increases proportionally.
so yes, IRIS-T’s DIRLCM capability is not just a marketing lie

You just want it to stay broken. The Tiger UHT, with only a 0.3 BR difference, can’t do anything against these new helis. While you have to hide from every single radar ping, these braindead idiots just hover at 10km altitude while no SPAA can touch them. Even the IRIS-T gets completely humiliated by these no-skill trashes. And don’t even try to tell me ‘‘I just want it to be ‘useful’ at top tier’’, i can hold my own with the Tiger UHT, the question is: could you survive without your ‘magic protection’ covering every angle against every missile? Playing like a potato, just like you guys do?

What’s the excuse for this so-called ‘balance’ now, when this piece of trash ruins entire matches with just one or two helis? Seriously, what’s the logic here?

Things get difficult when some players actually want things to stay broken just for their own enjoyment, and that’s all that matters to them. But you have my support too.

No, it’s not a marketing lie. All IIR missile are DIRCM capability, u can check president-s booklet.

Not how it works, it mostly burns through and fry’s the seeker head. Worst case scenario the missile cant see anything and spins out of control, Its effectively like pulling a bed sheet over the missiles head but with heat.

@Armen_Lozone asked me to tell you that you are Special and didnt read the post regarding time to burn or anything else

Nope. The laser power is too low.

Works only for 1-3 gen IR missile. Check President-S brochure.

You know how accurate and powerful that laser would need to be to burn the seeker within a few seconds?

Doesn’t have to burn it. Heating it up slightly will do since that lowers the contrast and so on. The point of argument is how effective that really is.

Never disputed that, guy I responded to made the specific claim that DIRCM is supposed to fry the seeker, which again is a ridiculously difficult task.

As you can see. The image is totally usable for chase mode. The sheer amount of time that would be needed to avidly physically damage the seeker isn’t a luxury the defender has

It’s a power supply, not output power, genius.

How was the photo taken?
