Ka-52M have different type of DIRCM, not laser.

mi28s have been downed much the same

not to mention the argument of damagin IIR seekers is kinda dumb.
the sheer amount of thermal energy transfer needed to damage a substance that isnt styrofoam or paper but made of silocon and in case of IRIS-T, indium antimonide is massive

Besides semiconductors can start to malfunction at like 200 C already

the problem is getting a semiconductor to that temperature at all.

With a 2.5-3 kw vitebsk laser and a literal seeker lens that collects all of it on a seeker it’s not a problem 🤣

is more than the input for every ldircm ingame, and if that was the output it would be needed to be delivered at distance through whatever weather is at the moment and for long enough to matter

if he has anything, hes referring to the total power draw of the Vibetsk-S (Export: President-S). which is, again, not the power draw of the laser generator much less the output power of the actual laser

nah, considering how the russian one lists the power draw of the entire L370 system:

  • L370-1 control unit
  • L150 “Pastel” Digital RWR, 1.2- to 18-GHz range, 360° horizontal and 60° vertical
  • L370-2 IR/UV warning sensors
  • L140 Otklik LWS
  • L370-5 DIRCM / L370-5L LDIRCM**/** L418-5 LDIRCM, stated range from 500 to 5000 meters (not specified for which of the 3 systems this belongs to)
  • UV-26 CM launcher, 32 rounds per pod

so all that should add up.
leaving a pathetic amount for the LDIRCM. proably something close to CIRCMs usage if not lower
