When they’ll add the F-22 the winrate will go up
How is su30sm2 best bvr
thought j16 would win that or f15GE but ig not

R-77-1 is a very good missile. Not just for BVR but also VVR.
SM2 has 12 of them and a radar side limit of 120 degrees. This means NOT ONLY can you guide from notch, naaaah, you can guide while flying AWAY from the enemy and their missiles.
On top of having really great ARH missiles with great missile count and incredible radar, it also has really powerful engines and access to R27ERs which coupled with the side limit and the fact they are DL+IOG are really strong even at top tier.
For VVR i personally despise fighting Rafale way more than SM2 but BVR it is genuinely the best ingame. F15C GE would/is close second but its radar is ass and the engines are still the old ones
Your statshark graphs do not account for drag… people need to stop bringing them up
Even disregarding statshark if your drag claim is true (idk), R77-1 is still very much the best long range missile under the assumption that you have a track on the target so INS drift doesnt play a role.
Alongside all the other advantages the SM2 has going for it i really dont get how you can ask “why is SM2 best BVR”.
That is not how that works.
R-77 and R-77-1 have massive drag you cant resolve through any tactic. They do not work in actual BVR due to it. The only reason your graph shows the R-77-1 winning is because it flew in a straight line with no turns.
add pl12A or pl12 i think those are the fastest time to target
R77 yes, R77-1 does not, it genuinely performs best out of all other ARHs ive used significantly. Granted i dont have china yet so idk how well PL12s compare but calling 77-1 bad is genuine cope.
Id like to know btw where from do you know that the Statshark doesnt calculate drag? did they write it somewhere? im genuinely curious.
Nope. Both have the problem. Both have static drag and not dynamic drag like they do irl and both thus have the issue. The R-77-1 literally just adds 2 seconds to the sustainer and does about nothing else
Bud, you had the missile fly in a straight path from point A to point B. The R-77 has issues with drag because BVR missiles have to TURN and when the R-77 does that it loses all of its energy instantly. The only reason the theoretical range is high is because everybody sims it with no turning.
i guess r77-1 is pretty good even better than pl12A which is crazy lettuce fins seem to be not changing much
Do you see the missiles turning there???
do you understand the definition of a curve?
try the in game flight parameters (wont show turning) but will be completely accurate from 3rd party stat shark since its in game
doesnt account for drag from turning either
lettuce fins just dont work as they are meant to the are supposed to cause more drag but that doesn’t seem to be the case in war thunder or you could just use J-16 and su30Sm2 in a controlled test flight or custom server to see which one pl12A or r77-1 is actually better and count the time to target
I think if these didn’t account for drag the missile would be going mach 6 on launch…
