[ Poll ] Should India stay in UK tech tree?

It’s a reference to Indian hidutva weird fascination to Israel and always trying (and failing) to associate themselves as some kind of “Aryan people”.

Though I think people just got fed up with Israel TT. It’s just fucking Patton all over the goddamn tree FFS.

Personally I think it should stay as is. We do not need another tech tree in game we already have too many as it is.

and better than how messily its implemented in GB currently

I disagree.

imma be honest, india doesnt have enough unique aircraft (that are non C&P) to have its own separate tree, from a quick search there is like 5/6 unique aircraft that india could get (excluding c&p) so no, those aircraft would be better to be in the british TT

Hey, if it means Britain gets the Rafale, MiG 29, and Su-27, I’m all for it. Let’s make Britain the third best air tree in the game!

This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.

not enough place in USSR for a subtree imo

We can always do Britain implementation of Commonwealth vehicle, as in spread It all over the Place.

And of course my post gets flagged for literally no reason, how are people so sensitive?

It hurt the project manager who shoved Bhisma before Arjun little heart.

Agreed. Remove India, or at the very least anything not purely domestic, and give Britain an Australia+New Zealand or Canada subtree (but not both! That’s way too much!)

India comes with multiple issues about its current implementation, the majority of which come from the fact that the sub-tree system from day 1 was a failure.

Heck, there is so little space in the UK tree at areas they can’t even get stuff they used (ex., Canadair Sabre F.4: The RAFs Best Aircraft Was ... Canadian?, which was built to UK specs and wouldn’t have existed with them ordering it). So the so all three nations need to fight each other for the limited space for their stuff due to the 5-line limit.

Also, between domestic, modified and licensed-built(note all count as unique), all the major commonwealth nations (India, UK, ZA, Canada & ANZACs) need at least 3 lines each for their stuff.

So I’d rather a new TT with a bit more C&P but room for unique stuff as TT rather than a ST with nothing but C&P.

I’d be fine with India staying a sub-tree(and more sub-trees) only if a rework happened, like ex. Subtree Rework - Nation Folders

As it is currently, India is fine in GBR, but I’d like to see it in its own seperate tree sometime soon. Kinda like how Israel was when it was initially added. I’d also like to see WT move away from national trees but rather to regional / military affiliation TTs, like having the Scandinavians as one singular tree, including vehicles from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Dennark, and so on. At worst, it’ll tick off some people, but at best it’s just a renaming of trees and an addition of more unique vehicles. They don’t even need to change the trees themselves, but rather just change the name. For example, Great Britain would be changed to GBR/Commonwealth to make note that it’s primarily Britain but it’s including stuff from the commonwealth nations.

That being said, Gaijin will probably never do this

theres no “remove from game entirely” so ill back a ASEAN tree. We cant redeem a Indian only tree either as they have not made enough good stuff to validate even being a subtree to begin with

Only two of the indian additions has met the vibe and style of the British TT vehicles and that’s only as its a C&P of a TT vehicle as a premium. everything else has been soviet junk nobody in their right mind wanted to dilute the uniqueness of the British tree.

true, however there are colonies which suit the British tree far better, Australia other than the M1 AIM is already all in the brit tree and it would make sense to formally have the anzacs as a British subtree

there’s also Canada.

both are much more British in culture and military doctrine so will fit in better.

They have lots of military connections actually, mainly in the aviation scene. They’ve had modernizations of their aircraft as well as continued use of Israeli AAMs. Second to Chile, it’s the next country that makes the most sense in Israel given the current military relations between the two countries. However that would be negating the past connection India shared and focusing more on the modern ones. At this current moment in time both India and Israel players would like this as an outcome, but they’d more prefer India as its own independent tech tee which is really can be. It’s be just as diverse on its own as something like the Israeli tree from my understanding, with indigenous aircraft like the Hal Tejas in the air tree.

Israeli systems, sights, shells (which are still currently used, just in a different designation iirc), radar, etc.

It would make sense for them to go there

my point stands.
