Sub-trees do not replace things, they augment.

So far they have only replaced or heavily delayed (Scimitar and Fox should have come years and years ago)
I still dont see:
Abbot
Scorpion
Saladin
Ajax
Ferret
Sexton
etc etc etc. There are dozens upon dozens of vehicles im not expecting anytime soon because we already have SA vehicles for the same BR/Role.
and we are still waiting for a full Challenger 1/2 Overhaul but im expecting to see Arjun any day now

Sub trees delay or completely prevent equivalent domestic vehicles from coming due to the space they occupy in the tree.
The British tree will never have a domestic light tank line because of the addition of South Africa, and iconic and much-requested light tanks like the Scorpion 90s, Saladin 90s, Simba 90s, Stormer LPXV, as well as every single one of our WW2 armoured car (except the dingo) are still nowhere to be seen in the tech tree, because their place in the tree has been occupied by SA vehicles.
If those vehicles arrived tomorrow they’d still be 5 years late, because of the SA sub tree.

Sub-trees do not do that. The only thing that can “delay” vehicles is research hurdles.
The only thing that can “prevent” vehicles is the vehicle not existing in combat capability [see Object 640].
The BR system means nothing is late.
The vehicles will come when ready.
I don’t know why people who voted for Singapore not to be added into China then votes for it to be added into Japan…Japan makes no sense for Singapore to be in.
China and Singapore at least have some relation due to both being ethnic Han Chinese and Singapore and their former Leader Lee Kuan Yew having been a major influence on China after Mao’s Death and their former representative to the UN also being one of the most outspoken Pro-China Authors and ‘Influencers’ Online.
With Japan they have absolutely nothing to do. This just shows people care less about the addition making historic, geographic, cultural or whatever sense but more so that they just don’t want it into Chinas Tree for no Reason.
Theres only two Trees where a Singapore Subtree makes sense and that being UK and China.
The UK due to the colonial History and Singapore being part of the Commonwealth however might as well then argue Bangladesh could be in UK Tree. The Commonwealth is just an irrelevant colonial Hangover nowadays and symbolic at best for most of its Members with many not even liking the UK, each other or their colonial History (which wasn’t great for anyone but the UK).

Thank you. The last post someone made about this topic got just a tiny bit out of hand and immediately was nuked.
That’s not how research and information availability works.
BM Oplot was originally made prior to 2021 for War Thunder; more information has come out about the vehicle since then, and the implementation now is more accurate despite having been put off until a more tactful tech tree could get it.
Not only that, but if you’re in talks with a company to purchase information about vehicles, the negotiations can stall or otherwise take a while.
You have to remember that Gaijin often picks a BR first, then finds a vehicle they think will fit that BR.
Of course they also pick vehicles and BRs at the same time as well.

Yes. Singapore is largely Chinese, at least in modern days.
I suggested elsewhere that you could combine the Commonwealth Republics, including India and Singapore, into a separate TT and add the Commonwealth realms to the UK or also create a separate TT with them. The current state of the realms like Australia and Canada is frankly BS for those of us who would want to make a line up with our nations vehicles as they are split up through multiple TTs.
That alienation is primarily still due to Maos Legacy and divide between Communism, Nationalism etc.
Many in the RoC / Taiwan will also say the same but that is not the whole picture; you always only hear about those who say they aren’t Chinese, don’t want to be part of a unified China etc. but fact is that the One-China Parties in the RoC still get many Votes, the KMT alone gets more Votes than the most popular Parties in Germany for example - and they in fact as of now have more Seats in the Government than the Separatist ‘Democratic Progressive Party’…wonder why that never gets mentioned…

Mexico should be a sub-tree of Spain because they were originally Spanish. What about the natives? They’re not pure Spaniards. Well, the Malays and Indians in Singapore were ignored as easily, following the Singapore is Chinese logic.

Why can Thai vehicles be given to the Japanese tech tree, but Singaporean vehicles cannot be given to the Chinese tech tree? Double standards and discrimination.
