Poll - Is Singapore and India's current planned Sub-Tree locations healthy?

Starting with Singapore’s recent announcement as a Chinese Sub-Tree, this would bring several vehicles to China.

A few of the notable aircraft this would include are the F-16C/D/D+, F-15SG, and AH-64D.

As for ground additions, this would likely bring the Leopard 2SG, Hunter AFV, Bionix II, M113A2 Ultra IFV, and several more.

Overall, are you satisfied with Singapore’s planned placement?

For Britain, we can expect many more Indian additions as well.

Potential Indian jet additions would include the Mirage 2000, Rafale, Su-30, MiG-29, Jaguar, and AH-64E, while the Indian Ground Sub-Tree could receive the Arjun Mk.1/1A, T-90S Brishma Mk 2 and 3, T-72M1 Ajeya Mk 1/2/Improved, Zorawar, BMP-2 Sarath, Tata Kestrel, and NAMICA, among other additions.

To be constructive, I will also be offering the community options for where they believe these Sub-Trees should be.

If you voted unsatisfied for Singapore’s current placement, where would you, the community, prefer it to be located? Please tell us why in the replies.

My goal with these polls is to gather information from the community as a whole so that Gaijin can see what their community thinks, not necessarily to change anything. At the end of the day, Gaijin chooses what they do.

Please be respectful of all opinions in the comments.

At least for India, your poll should have included a new tree as an option. As I haven’t seen Singapore with enough stuff.

Otherwise, I’m not satisfied with either placement. And the sub-tree system at large as it has a number of issues I can go on and on about.

As much as I wish that were possible, Israel is a perfect example of what having too many independent trees will do. Israel, Japan, and many others are drip-fed content, sadly.

I’d love to see Ukraine and Poland as “Israel” like tech trees starting at a certain rank, but it may never happen.

Therefore, this pole is simply for what we can do currently.

India shouldnt have gone to britain. it has acted as nothing more than a way to shoehorn soviet crap into the british tree.

the vehicles india potentially offer would also benefit israel far better than britian

Singapore should go to japan. China already has a pakistani and taiwanese subtree

and nothing of value is gained.

Just look at the ground tree.

Rapier, Stormer AD and Stormer HVM are all in kinda sad states, but Gaijin doesnt care because the Strela and OSA are doing fine

Israel also gets unique vehicles in the tech-tree, unlike the sub-trees in-game.

It’s 1 example of a poorly done tree vs every sub-tree.

Sub-trees have done more harm than good; the sub-tree system is a dead-end failure system from day one. New trees have a proper future.

Not satisfied and there is no need for them selected, for both countries

GB has commonwealth before they got independent (for every country) and south africa right now, which is enough.

China can have Pakistan or Bangladesh

I personally think giving India to Britain because it was a colony is kinda unhealthy and potentially a slippery slope.

For example, not only does India basically just give Britain a Russian/Israeli/France Sub-Tree, it’s also historically flimsy and potentially just as crude as placing South Korea inside Japan for being colonized.

I meant that any commonwealth vehicle before their independence should go to UK by default, like the Ram 1 or the African premium hunter.

Which comes to my point, there is no need for India because they had 0 vehicle development history before 1947

I’m not really into the topic, but wouldn’t it have been better for India to become its own TT with a potential Pakistani subtree if anything? Like, damn, the Indian subtree has been only useful to C&P Russian stuff in the UK. How is that reasonable?

Oh, I misread. I agree that India shouldn’t be in Britain post-Indo-Pakistan wars.

Please refer to my previous reply regarding this.

Yeahh it would become a mess at the end of the day. Just thinking of GRB matchmaking makes me sick. Maybe, if they restructured the way matches work… but that would never happen.

For India, I believe, post-Indo-Pakistani wars, the healthiest option is to become fused with Israel’s tree. They are Major Military Partners and utilize one another’s technology extensively. This would allow the trees to operate together to become as coherent and stable as possible. Israel also isn’t shy about being a mix of Soviet/NATO tech already, and would likely cause little drama.

That is my opinion anyway.

Even then. That loose defined Sub-TT isnt needed because of it being an export. In the absence of a Rhodesian Sub-TT anywhere else, a Hawker Hunter is a Hawker Hunter and so only one TT it should go to (and even then, it being “Rhodesian” always felt really random to me as the RAF also operated them, only thing I can think of is that they specifically wanted one with 9Es?)

Hot take: I am fine with where India is located.

What I am not fine is how India, or any other sub-tree past SA for the matter of fact, was treated when it was announced to be such. Was it not copy paste slop as researchable and indigenous projects locked behind paywall/event, India would be much more positively perceived.

As of SG, can’t really say anything. Neither in favour nor against dev’s plan.

In all honesty, I think Singapore can belong with Israel, but I personally dislike this whole Sub Tree thing

India ? make them like Israel, starting from a certain rank

Switzerland should have been with Sweden IMO

India subtree for the UK is just a bad idea for Gaijin, especially considering potential sales of premium jets, talismans and packs. Nobody should collect all top tier jets in one single tree, that’s a terrible monetization blunder.
(Yes, I know US copypasta is prolific and that too is a mistake but at least they’re not putting all eurocanards, all US copypasta AND the top Russian fighter in the same tree)

Right now if you want all the unique top tiers, you have to grind 3+ trees. Doing that efficiently nudges players toward a talisman in multiple trees or premiums in multiple trees. If India gets slapped into the UK that’ll cut that number down to 1 tree. That’s players only needing to buy premium planes for one line, less premium time and getting all the stuff at the top for way less effort. Huge profit loss for the snail. Not a smart idea.

why?
