There really isn’t that many Japanese players in a normal match…
I have k/d 3.5 with tech tree variant with 132 battles where I had to grind modules. You have that k/d on premium variant where you got it in best configuration from beggining. That is why I assume you are not playing this tank as it should be played. And it also why I am telling you that 4 sec reload is just game changer if you use it correctly but if you fail to see it than japanese high tier MBTs are not good suit for you. Also having better acceleration means you can get to those important positions faster than other MBTs, especially when there are a lot of turns on the way as if you loose speed at those turn you will gain it back faster than other MBTs.
It is true that I have over 5 k/d on Leopard 2a4 but I also believe that Leo 2a4 is more like 10.7 material tank so in that regard yes, Type 90 and Leopard 2a4 should be closer together but not by moving Type 90 down but by moving Leopard 2a4 up. Putting Type 90 at 10.7 would be mistake as it would be unstoppable monster against 9.7 tanks something like Leo 2a4 is now against 9.3.
That is why I assume you are not playing this tank as it should be played.
Yeah, because if we’re not as good as you are we just don’t know what were doing and not playing things correctly… good for you man.
Maybe I try to play the objective and support my team and don’t care about about farming kills for my k/d ratio, but the game doesn’t track how many objectives you’ve captured, how many teammates you’ve assisted, how many times you helped repair someone, how many kills came from spawncamping and how many from chasing down a problematic enemy for your team.
You are the one taking tank build for flanking and being rat and using it for something else and than complaining on forum it does not work for that scenario, not me. All Japanese high tier MBTs have similar focus on being flanker and focusing on eliminating multiple enemies fast. If you do not like that and but still want to play japanese MBTs than it is your fault you will have worse time than in tank more suitable for things you want to do. Focusing on killing enemies also contributes to result of match as you are reducing enemies spawn points with each kill.
I never said it’s not working, I’m saying it’s not a great vehicle when you look at what it has, with only the reload being a redeeming factor.
For flankers reload is important factor and as flanker it is great and that is why 11.0 is correct BR.
It has to flank because it’s not good at other things, and even as a flanker it’s not faster than most other MBTs.
I think 11.0 is fine, i hate the armor and the optics but it is best used as a defensive unit or flanker. The TKX(P) is another story that thing can do whatever role you want and i love it.
Every tank has a role. Type 90 is closer to light tanks than MBTs that why it is flanker. Its main role is to take out multiple enemies in quick session and it excels in it as it has fast reload and superior mobility. Mobility is not about max speed but also about acceleration that is much better than other MBTs as with better acceleration you will have better average speed on route, you will get to positions faster then other MBTs and this is what matter. If you do not use any tank in intended role than sure that tank is not great but it is your fault and not fault of the tank. Same can apply basically on any tank that have some extreme like Maus. You do not expect from Maus to perform well in flanking or capping points, you expect it to be brawler where it is great.
If I applied your logic from my perspective, then most soviet MBTs would be bad and in need of decrease of BR. They have terrible gun handling, gun depression and no reverse speed. Yet we all know it is not true because if you are using them in intended way, they perform great. I instead just choose to not play them as they do not fit my playstyle.
