Please Give Us Back the Original Panther II, Flakpanzer 341 "Coelian," and Tiger II 10.5cm KwK

hm, why can’t you use a coupon ?

I got a coupon for a vehicle i already own. Cant use it and cant sell it.

Whichever book they had that mentioned a side-by-side two gun Ostwind. I forget which one it was, been ages since I seen it. Maybe it will be in the original Ostwind 2 devblog.

The Flakpanzer 341 was supposed to have newly developed 37mm cannons.
Higher velocity and belt fed.

The current 37mm cannons on the Ostwind II simply can’t be mounted side by side since they use side ejecting ammunition frames.

So the current Ostwind II was entirely modeled by imagination.

Maybe if the guns would be flipped 90° on their side, with the frames getting ejected downwards, like on a Bofors, it could be possible.

At the moment it uses the same guns as the Ostwind 2, and has identical stats to the Ostwind’s.

I am aware they could not be used side by side but they have the shipping manifest that says one was delivered. I have seen hypothesis that the description is wrong/confused with something else and it actually used the existing twin 37mm mount:

Bundesarchiv_Bild_101I-301-1957-32,_Nordfrankreich,_Zwillings-Flak

But of course evidence either way is pretty much nonexistent.

Wow. Good call. Who is your insider?

It doesn’t shock me that Gaijin is finally removing the R2Y2s. It is, in my opinion, very good that they added the “their is no plans to EVER BRING THEM BACK” bit. They should have stated that in the German DevBlog too- but I guess they are stating it now because they learned their lesson from that one.

If you look at the Devblog for the German vehicles, (the changes came in update 1.91-), their removal is completely justified by an earlier post (as well as the Devblog for their removal) by gaijin about the removal and editing of fake vehicles in game, a response from a QnA.

Anyway. Still want to know who your inside source is. Thanks.

They had said several times in the past that the R2Y2s would be removed someday. The Thai subtree confirmed it.

What does this mean? Lol

Honestly. I support this. I think they should be attainable in some form or another. Something similar to the Maus. Maybe as a reward for spading everything in the late war German rank, including the Maus; you could unlock them to research. It’d filter most people out, and tie it in with the Maus, but give the option to have them for competitionists…

If anyone here played World of Tanks, a system like the Collector Vehicles shop would be really nice for this.

I know people will argue day and night that “No, we should never add these back!” But I always have a feeling that the people who argue these points, are the ones who have these vehicles to begin with. It’s easy for them to say that, you know?

Idk, go ahead and lock these behind a quest sort of thing where you have to complete ridiculous amount of objectives/achievements with steep requirements – just make them attainable again to the people who want them.

Yes, but its the fact he called it three days before and not 3 months. I am aware they were going to be removed- as was everyone most people. I just didn’t think it would be so soon.

He was talking about the Panther II, I think.

P II clearly stands for that, no relation to the R2Y2s.

Ah. That was not clear to me.

Anyway, No Panther II. Too much guesswork involved, same reason that Gaijin won’t add the O-i. Unless someone comes up with the blueprints and a photograph of the complete version, then I may accept a revised version given that we still have the hull sitting around somewhere in the United States.

The Panther II hull is very much real and could just be added as is, with the G turret it has now.

Panther 8.8 was just a paper project.

O-I definitely existed, there’s enough evidence of it already and there’s documents about it that we don’t have yet.

I’m not disagreeing that it existed- but to put it in Gaijin’s words.

“Yes, we still do not have enough information on these machines, and as far as is possible to judge, it is impossible to find the missing info. There will be too much room for guesswork and paper design, which we would like to avoid.” (found at this link)

So, what I am really saying, is that while it definitely existed, too much about how it existed is unknown for it to be reasonable to add in game as a “non-paper” vehicle.

I would agree with gaijin there, if they also hadn’t already added some extremely dubiously documented vehicles.
