Please Gaijin, help Red Team

“use brain” seems to be the solution for everything…
I wonder where your K/D of 10/1 is when it is so simple to preflare all the time and evade all missiles.

This only works in a head on, where you have a 3 sec. window to shoot the missile. Of course you preflare in a head on and shoot your own missile.

In all other situations you can’t preflare all the time because the launch windows in a dogfight are much longer and more frequent.
You will be out of flares after 30 sec.

I don’t know how often I saw the smoke trail before I even saw the enemy and had the chance to flare and break away.

Invisible missiles are a huge advantage, not a gimmick.
It takes the chance to react from the enemy and creates a big uncertainty for him.

So please stop this “use brain” bs.

And?
Preflairing smokeless missile is not about k/d ratio.

And if you got smb on your RWR from 3 to 9 hours - you will be already dead, same as any other IRCCM missile.

You can preflare by 2-4 flares per every shooting position, that will be enough. Even F-14A can that, which is hot and have only 60 flares

In wt you can see it mostly if it covers some dark objects, like a clouds on some maps

Only in case of planes without radar/all aspect ir missiles/launch at 3-9(you dead after that btw)

He has zero experience playing red, yet he talks. I told him immediately when he started replying. Like most of the people that were saying that Red doesnt suffer, all of them except for one never actually played on red side at high tiers.

Only people that play both sides know how easier it is to play Blue. Also, I got confirmation that he’s a known troll also on the russian version of the forum.

Playing wt is mistake so, yes, 0 games

Based on my investigation, he probably have not yet played a single top tier battle , whether it is ARB or ASB after this update, since I cannot find any replays. From what I see, his arguments are theoretically correct but in many cases, it is not practical.

9M didnt get any changes, so its same. But now harder to merge with anybody and reason not in 9M.

Therefore, your argument may not sound. Since you don’t play the game, you don’t know how gaijin model those weapons in the game and what the current game meta like in game and why they are meta.

Fox-3 is meta and will be, maybe with few exceptions but still.
And lol, even in your stats i played F-15A, Mirage and F-16C, all of them have IRCCM missiles, so i know how gaijin modelled 9M and IRCCM

Thunderskill shows that he has played a total of 6 games in the F-16C between Jun 18 and July 24 for Air RB. The rest of his recent in-game experience is basically limited to the F-14A and the F-15A. Thunderskill doesn’t show any recent experience in Air SB but they are also still adding higher tier planes to the SB list. I have played a lot of top tier USA since the patch and I have never seen him in a game and I generally have a pretty good memory of player names…so I think the assessment that he has not played recently is probably an accurate one.

Would you be willing to dogfight F-14A vs Mirage 2000 in Sim? I am willing to learn this secret pre-flaring technique from you since you make it sound easy.

I would say, it helps a bit… 😄

But I had no intention to bash anyone. The K/D thing was just an exaggeration.

I just don’t agree with the “just preflare and all is fine” thing you propagate. 9Ms are much nastier than you admit.

I already have some video of that, but with random EC guy.
Main trouble in that i cant(for few more weeks) and doesnt want to play wt(maybe just because bought hornet and su33 in dcs) at all.

Now TRY SEEING THAT PIXEL IN VR

You can see R-73 coming from miles away. You dont see anything about 9M

It’s very hard to see the AIM-9M, but it’s possible. I sometimes see it when I zoom in on the enemy, launch it and follow it with my eyes.

However, if I remember correctly, you can see the launch itself easier.

I fought against Gripens and only got surprised when I wasn’t aware I’m being attacked (they often fly with radars off) or when I notice him too late and I’m expecting him launch, when actually the AIM-9M is already on the way.

I have poor memory of Gripen encounters though.

I’m not trying to argue that AIM-9M’s smokeless motor isn’t a big advantage, it’s more of a casual correction or “umm akshually” type of thing. It’s definitely possible to defend against it.

But not R-77,R27ER, and other russian, chinese missiles, and it seems that you have no idea how terrible russian and chinese, which is still russian, radars are

Do you use VR? It’s hard enough to look back repeatedly in VR without destroying your neck if you do it a lot. (And I’m a fit male in early 20s that goes to GYM)

With no smoke in VR it’s GG

I use head tracking. I use a webcam and 2 free programs: AITrack and OpenTrack. It’s a practically free solution.

Any webcam will do, but a better webcam means more stability, faster response time, more accurate movement, no floating (if you try it you will get what I mean) etc.

I was using a 720p 30fps webcam and it was good enough, now with a 1080p 30fps webcam (or 60fps, I don’t remember) it’s much more stable and movement is more snappy, without floating.

I’ve heard VR is blurry, with just head tracking I get full resolution of my 1440p monitor and I run the game in 4K for better antialiasing.

I don’t have any neck pain or anything like that.

There’s also stuff like TrackIR, which is a dedicated head tracking hardware, but it’s expensive.

Edit: Of course it’s not as natural as VR, since you turn your head sideways, look backwards and have to look forward at your screen, but it’s much more intuitive than it seems. You can set mapping curves of how much real head turn equals to how much in-game head turn.

You won’t get it with a tracker of course

All I do is win. I don’t think I have lost a single game in top tier or the tier that is just below it since the balancing changes were made.
