Planes that desperately need to be moved up in BR for the sake of Air Sim Battles!

F-104J 10.0 > 10.3
Super fast, 6 Aim-9Ps. Radar missiles are useless at that BR so you can just stay fast and low, nothing will touch you.

Kikka 6.7 >7.0
As much as I love it, it is just too fast for 6.7. 850 km/h at sea level is just crazy at this BR.
You can outrun everything and never check 6, while outturning many things. If you learn how to aim with “the stick” and have some trigger discipline, 6.7 is seal clubbing.

TLDR: Flight models should be corrected before changing Battle Ratings.

Let us begin with this preposterous premium British Mustang. Please fellow pilot, wring her out in test flight with combat flaps deployed then tell me if she does or does not object to your joystick locked fully back as you yank & bank? Literally, she’s a goofy clown with melted makeup often exploited by some otherwise skilled aviators. This is a… Splintery situation, if you catch my drift?

Same for XP-50, all P-40 variants and all Ki-61 variants.

Mind you, I’m NOT addressing generally OP aircraft but specifically aircraft that behaves as if Gaijin’s INSTRUCTOR is shielding them from consequences of over-pulling (I.E. stalls) in Simulator mode.

OP? Bf 109 E-1 (1-2.0): She stalls when pulled too hard (thankfully) but she exhibits cartoonish climb! I generally uptier her at 2.0-3.7 and higher except special circumstances in 1-2.0 that involve fighting insanely OP attackers/bombers which fly faster than E-1 and that squirt a tsunami of shells out of their rear “poop chute” (Frank Zappa).

What are we going to do about the Hunter situation?

British Hunter F.1 - (9.0), 17 min of fuel, no secondary armament, weak engines
British Hunter F.6 - (9.7), 13 min of fuel, various armament, can either choose drop tanks OR SRAAMs, better engines
French/Dutch Hunter F.6 (9.0) - 13 min of fuel, Aim9B AND drop tanks (most likely, can be wrong), same better engines as the British one

Ariete and CL13s and G91s and Sigma jets aside, why cannot I also have my 9.7 Hunter at 9.0? F1 should go 8.7, French F6 to 9.3, if not 9.7 due to extended possible range.

F-15a and j going to 12.7 is gonna kill that bracket even more it must not go down

BTW the base su-27s and j-11 are still at 13.3. Is this some sort of joke?

w reversing in front of guns 😭

F-15J at 12.7 is insane. It has invisible IR missiles, good radar and OK´ish sparrows and a shit ton of CMs. It will seal club the bracket. It was fine at 13.0. For what reason should it go to 12.7?

They don’t understand that RWR performance is a very important factor in adjusting BR in SB.
There are countless examples, such as the Su-27/33, MiG-29A/Sniper, and MirageF1C/CT, and this is evident from the fact that there is no difference in BR between these combinations.

They aren’t anymore

Naturally, I couldn’t agree with it, but I understood.
“We don’t know much about SB either, but as long as we make the same adjustments as AB/RB, it should be fine.” That was Gaijin’s foolish thinking.

The big problem is that there are aircraft with flight models whose evaluations tend to be polar opposites between AB/RB and SB.
Specifically, these include aircraft with a large gap between their instantaneous maximum turn rate and their optimal turn rate. In many cases, such aircraft perform best with tightly controlled AoA, making them incompatible with mouse aim mode. On the other hand, there are many cases where their performance changes dramatically as soon as we use them with sim controls or joysticks, which allow for precise control.
And the F-15 is a prime example of this.
In fact, it’s not just the F-15, but aircraft that I and other SB players describe as powerful energy fighters that tend to be panned in the AB/RB community. I’ve always wondered why that is, and recently I’ve finally begun to understand.
I think this is an example of Gaijin simply applying the same assessment of a model whose movement performance was underestimated in mouse aim mode to the SB due to their short-sighted thinking.

But at the same time, when they decide to not change SB br’s we frequently end up with problems this very post’s original message is about, planes ruining the mode because those were forgotten.

Unfortunately its a tricky situation which would only be solved with Gaijin investing a single knowledgeable human being into looking at it. But SB doesn’t generate enough revenue for all that.

It has almost 300 counter measures, Irrccm, it can sustain 40AOA per the gauge in the bottom left of cockpit. It can recover speed in a dog fight extremely well. It has a very tight radius when rating between 450kt - 380kt. It is cracked as hell. Moving it down is a horrible decision. Think about this. That plane will be facing 11.7. That’s stupid.

Does redside even have a mog 29 with irccm at 12.7. I can agree with the f15A moving down if the mig29A and sniper get r73 and keep the r27er.

At this point I’m openly acussing the game of making unbalanced br brakets to encourage Premium vehicle sales.

Ok, good about moving up some planes, but what about moving some down?

Example, the F-16AJ, good flying model, but an very simple radar and mediocre missiles for what is fighting against.

What do you think?

That’s a common snail movement, look 12.7 13.0, now is almost full of prems F-18 Su-30
