Planes missing anti-radiation missiles

Might make A-7E relevant, not happening

Those two have vastly worse ordnance overall, specially now that you get 4 pgm 500 with MITL, with the the 9 alarms it has no buisness over this br

PGMs are so slow, they are hardly worth mentioning, especially when the F-111F has 6x AGM-65Ds at 11.7. So even with a BR increase to 11.7, The Tornado GR1 wouldnt even be close to the strongest CAS. MITL might be a nice QoL buff for them, and they did finally get their range increased, but if you have something like a Pantsir on the other team, they will always get intercepted

9x ALARM might be an issue. It is a debate to be had regarding what impact a weapon that can only be used vs SPAA actually has. But there is 0 justification for a total block on it get any, just upon the basis of keeping it at 11.3 instead of joining the RET8 at 11.7 (which has 4x AGM-88C) with 3-5 ALARM. (id personally vote for the outer shoulder pylons and the 3 on the belly, but could also be the 2 main wing pylons which would limit it to 4). This is especially when you consider Britain hasnt got a single ground vehicle at 11.0 or 11.3, so the GR1 is exclusively used at 11.7 anyway, the BR increase it would result in changes nothing.

Not now with the MITL… Since they are so slow this matters even more than other faster vehicles as you have far less of a chance to miss

Except youre asking for 9 alarms not 3-5

Should also account if you commit to the 9 of them, you cannot bring any other ordnance, nor swap them in match.

Maybe, but it still doesnt change the fact that 99.9% of all PGMs I have ever fired in GRB have been intercepted if there is a Pantsir on the other team.

When there isnt, they usually miss because they cant actually keep up with a moving target

I suggested both in my post, and whilst I would be annoyed that once again, tanks are dictating aircraft performance . 3-5 would be the bare minimum acceptable.

Yeah, exactly. dont even get 9Ls. Its just Pantsir mains are scared of being countered

Given the efficacy of ARMs at present, 9 would be the bare minimum to get through a half competent air defence system. Even that is questionable given they all originated from the same angle, and thus are easily destroyed.

You realize that the aircraft that you compared with have only 2 or 4 at best? 9 Legit is the highest ammount of arm of any aircrafts

You realise that the majority those listed were Russian aircraft that do not have to face half competent air defence systems at that rating? The others being from trees that knowingly suffer, and I would make cases for their improvement were that the argument I was having.

You realize that every time that you spawn you have to make a gable picking the whopping 2 missiles that you can carry to not even choose the correct frecuency? Surely the m27 is so op you can get 2 arm missiles and 2 bombs/laser guided missile that’s literally all you can carry.

Again the ret 8 is literally at a higher br with just 4… or the assta1 literally have none and it is the same br.

Aye, because kab 500s from orbit has never historically been a problem, nor is currently a problem. Now you can even address the minor threats to your orbital strikes. Shocking.

Can't possibly imagine what the Ret 8 might need those munitions for. (and by extension any tornado in this bracket)

How are the kab 500 even remotely equivalent to the pgm 500? Wait they arent, not even close

There is 0 expectation for the Tornado GR1 to remain at 11.3. Though I would argue that it is already at 11.7 given you are either uptiering the 10.7 lineup to 11.3 to use the Tornado, or just using the Tornado at 11.7.

And again, the argument can maybe be made about the 9x ALARM (They really need to come up with a better way of limiting loadouts in GRB that doesnt affect ARB/ASB) but any and all arguments just collapse when you consider the RET8 IS at 11.7 already with ARM. (and is a superior airframe with a better Tpod, more flares, MAWS, better weapons and even better engines)

5x ALARM at 11.7 wouldnt be an issue.

5 would be fine at 11.7, no issue with that, my issue is 9 at 11.3 which would be completely unbalanced, keep in mind that even if there is no line up, you can allways get the car rusher getting a cap and an assit and spanwing on them.

Which is the bare minimum I am asking for.

You’re right, they are different

One is a glacially slow missile that requires you to be within the envelope of the threat you’re engaging (PGM users face opposition with teeth) with a mobility that is rivaled by that of a lethargic geriatric. The other is a guided bomb that can be dropped effectively directly above the foe, well outside of the oppositions search area, let alone their engagement envelope (Because Russians do not face competent AA).

Not to mention, the plane would go up in BR to account for this addition.

Given the soviet AA spread at the rating, they either need to provide platforms with as many ARMs as they can carry, or finally implement something that encourages team coordination. Without coordination, a limited capacity of ARMs guarantees no destruction and a lack of suppression adequate for the slower missiles of the West to reach the target.
