The results that I talk about are related to objects which don’t render for everyone no matter the graphics.
We can test it out on different maps if You want. We can use helis for better measurment of the distance if You want.
Some people talk about things that they don’t understand (see people thinking that ULQ is the problem and not settings that anyone can set without turning ULQ on).
You pretty much got that right about SPAA sitting in the open firing wildly into the air with a BIG sign above his SPAA saying “Drop Bomb Here”. We see poor handling of all types of ground and air vehicles in WT. In the case of SPAA, most maps are not friendly to SPAA. No cover or concealment. Even with buildings, firing your SPAA draws tanks to the soft target, easy kill. As I have said, better SPAA are needed in most lower BR nations lineups. Like why isn’t the Skink in the USA lineup? British have many USA ground and air vehicles? Why isn’t stealth rounds a mod for SPAA? Improve the damage model for Anti-air HE rounds. Killing air doesn’t stop most functions of that aircraft. Bombs still drop, guns still fire yet a ground vehicle can have fire control knocked out. There is no damage model for air components such as wire controls/hydraulics, bomb release controls or gun control. You have to snipe the pilot. We have all seen aircraft spiraling through the air, on fire, one wing missing and still firing his guns??? Certainly a GJ issue, not a skill or game play issue.
It’s so hilarious to see the ‘lasers’ start reloading as the planes are swinging in.
Defo should be more random SPAA, no matter the weakness of them. Skink should have a counterpart or a second variant for the US, or something else that was a thing for the US line or something else somewhere.
Planes still dropping and firing when on fire, and out of control isn’t an issue, as it always hasn’t been, because it’s only an issue if you get killed by it… Otherwise it wouldn’t be an issue, but it’s really not an issue for that reason.
Problem is, your gamble is that you don’t face someone who actually has SPAA in thier lineup intentionally, not just as a reactionary, and actually takes out multiple planes, allowing the team to keep functioning and cap even with those freshly spawned SPAA…
It’s really not as if every SPAA just sits in the main spawn, and just shoots at you.
They have artillery, and are able to move up with the team without directly shooting at you, and are therefore a bigger threat than you try to acknowledge.
Your wonderful 114 rockets can all be spammed out as you corkscrew to the ground merely by your overconfidence.
Of course, everytime I win against SPAA because he couldn’t do anything about it is only because SPAA player is bad, not due to unbalance.
SPAA moving around still means nothing, only thing that he is doing is making himself an easier target for ground units as by shooting at the air You are becoming a beacon of light.
My 114 rockets don’t even need to hit a target to kill it as at 6.0 most of SPAA is open and overpressure kills it.
There is no skill shooting at cannon to disable it instead of weakpoint and killing whole tank but here we are. Players will always figure out easiest and laziest way how to get kills…
sorta different when its a plane shooting down at a tank that has no chance to retaliate, and that is essentially the equivelant of some paper being fed thru a wood chipper but Sure, yeah … shooting out a big scary tanks barrel and tracks is the same thing :p
I think the decline has much to do with an uptick of the " 2 braincells " types coming from the other tank game, who try WT out but fail to comprehend just how different it is from their other flavor. So they come to the forums to whine and make atrocious demands instead of trying to understand the differences and improve.
I would like to remind some people that console players have some advantage over PC players when it comes to shooting down planes (If that option no longer works, please notify me)
Range has been reduced and solid cover and concealment breaks lock.
I’ll also remind folks that the feature is only a target track - You still have to tune your own leading and compensate for distance - otherwise you still miss. Additionally, PC players have the same feature available, you just need to keybind it.
And improve Your knowledge of the game because in Ground RB as PC player You don’t have an option to track a target. The only thing that works similar is on radar SPAA.
