Tbh. I found the AESA Typhoon one of the hardest aircraft ive ever had to stock grind too. Way harder than the FA2 with only 2x Aim-9L stock when it was first added.
The issue is the level of situational awarness everyone has, they always see you coming, you cant be sneaky. Which is the main tactic I always employ to stock grind anything lower.
Not saying the EFT is harder than the J-15T, only that stock grinding everything at top tier right now feels way harder than it did a year or so ago
The rest of it, yeah, I get that, but the question is. What else can really be done beside moving it lower or giving it better weapons that eventually would be added to everyone else, if not at the same time. Sure ECM might help too, but again, wouldnt come in a vacuum.
It’s ridiculous that you can’t take off from an aircraft carrier with a catapult; I recorded a match where I and an AESA Eurofighter landed on an aircraft carrier.
As soon as the EF rearmed, it spawned in the air above the aircraft carrier.
I had to take off with less fuel so I wouldn’t die.
Edit: Sometimes it feels like a catapult is being used to propel us forward at the very end of takeoff.
And sometimes you just fall into the sea.
In this clip, afraid of falling into the sea again, I took off with only 16 minutes of fuel left.
Didn’t they accept a bug report about J-15T being unable to use a catapult and then completely ignore it? Cause I sure as hell remember one report where they said that it’s under review, it’s so dumb it takes them this long to fix something like that
The night vision feature was never accepted, and the only thread they tried to create about it was instantly closed.
The funniest thing is that with a quick search on YouTube you can find a video of Fujian launching a J35 and J15T.
And with another quick 30-second search, I found a video of a J-15 making a night landing in Shandong or Liaoning. In this video, it’s not possible to see if the pilot is using night vision or not, but it’s very difficult to believe that China would risk its aircraft crashing into the sea during every night landing, because in this type of landing, the pilot lands in complete darkness.
First they need to buff the PL-12s. The PL-12 is supposed to slightly better than the AIM 120B/on par with the AIM 120C, but it is not. The PL-12A is supposed to be better than the PL-12 (which is supposed to be better than the AIM 120B/equal to AIM 120C). But no, instead Gaijin decided that the only good missile would be the R-77-1. “But but MICA OP!” No it’s not, it sucks at low altitude, so all you need to do is be 100m of the ground and fly in a straight line. Easily doable, it’s how I fight the Rafale in Customs. Bring them low and they cannot hurt you with MICAs.
It’s perfectly acceptable that the worst airframes in the game get the best missiles. Just give China its PL-15 tbh, then we can make the case and argue for Meteor afterwards.
Keep in mind when I talk about worst or best airframes, I don’t mean just flight performance, I mean things like countermeasures, radar performance, etc. so pretty much everything about the plane except its weaponry.
Again, the J-10 is not that bad. You don’t use it at long range, treat it like a Gripper. Flank, fire from behind or the side, or force a dogfight. You can easily defeat a F-15 that way. Su-30s are iffy, but in a regular turn fight you have the upper hand. F-18s are quite slow and can turn into a UFO, so if you bait them, you can easily fly out of there while the F-18 struggles to catch up, and that’s an easy energy trap. With the J-10A you have R-73s still, so you can still go for the surprise shot (I prefer R-73s/PL-5EIIs over Pythons/PL-8s). Grippens and F-16s are going to be an even match. Grippens have the superior turn time, but they lose energy quite quickly and acceleration is not the greatest. If you can evade the first three circles, and he doesn’t leave, you got the victory. F-16, same sort of deal.
No one is saying it’s bad, it’s still arguably one of the worst platforms though. Atleast other countries have better airframe options so it’s only right for China to get PL-15s.
As much as I would love for China to have great equipment, I don’t think giving it the PL-15 is the right idea. We have gone down this route before, where we replace nerfed equipment with new things, leaving the equipment still absolutely dreadful. As I mentioned before, the PL-12s are the equivalent of AIM-120Bs/Cs, and the PL-12As are on par with the AIM-120C-4 (so slightly better than the in game AIM-120C).
We need to buff the PL-12 and PL-12A back to where it should be, not leave it in obscurity just because we got the option of a better missile. Remember, there are people grinding China, and will still be forced to use the PL-12s. Why should they be punished just because we started the game earlier?
