Don’t make me laugh
I haven’t played much lately but I’ve added you some days ago, maybe this week we meet up online
Aight, if you see me in game send me a message too.
Jets, especially early ones, they are heavy, clunky, and have no acceleration, no turn fight ability, and can’t pull sustained G’s, even if you wanted to.
Say the Spit. Mk.XXIV, has a super powerful engine, decent Hispanos and can turn fight, all of things which jets at its BR cannot do, especially if fighting another prop, or multiple aircraft.
The real anarchist here is the fact that Sub-sonic jets with no missiles fight Super-Sonics with them.
A p80-a or a f2h for example have good enough sustained turn rates (21 and 19 respectively) to easily keep at a spitfire’s six and will BnZ it at ease to get into that position.
And a meteor mk3 will do circles around a spitfire even at slow speed turning
Only .50 caliber guns, & no acceleration. The spit is better in almost every aspect; mostly being weapons and energy retention, and seeing as it’s recently had a BR jump, it must be proforming well. Only jet at that BR range with bigger guns is the Swedish SK60, with 30mm auto cannons.
What? Both have good energy retention and similar acceleration to a spitfire after like 400kph, and better at higher speeds, the f2h has 4x20mm nose mounted and the 6x .50cal is good enough and even preferable to small fighter sized targets IMHO
Then there’s the meteor that really has no business seeing props, good acceleration, better energy retention, better turn than most props and much faster
I agree with the Meteor, but idk about the F2H, in my experience, fighting it is a bit easy. In the A/J29B, it seems like the F2H is very lackluster.
Fighting early jet players is almost always easy. Most are stock grinding and only to research into the next tier. Late war props have a big niche around them and some experienced players that stick around those.
The F2H is lackluster, just not against 6.3 props
It can outrun them, at its top speed, and that’s about it.
A few people have already tried this argument with him (including me) but he just won’t listen to us. Don’t bother or waste your time. You know you can fight early jets, including the meteor mk.3, so it’s okay. If he doesn’t want to believe it, let him. :)
Come duel with me in your spitfire then
Says the one whos bringing stat card numbers to prove his points
Don’t have it, but I have plenty of experience fighting it.
Any prop really
Only prop I have anywhere close is the Bf-109G6 erla. I’d still fight you in it though, what time today, any time past 3:40 works for me.
That’s one way to tell you have no clue about what this discussion is then. Why even comment in this thread?
Especially the worst idea is to put the B-29A-BN in a compartment with jets, I don’t know who came up with such a brilliant idea, probably an idiot.
Also, I can fight your 106G in a early jet, but that would be way too easy to be fun, you’d have better chance in a biplane and hope for some lucky snipe
No, the G6 could fight a jet any day, but it won’t outrun its top speed, and has plenty of high caliber guns. I’d like to do a best out of three fight, in my even worse than the Mk.XXIV, BF-109G6 and still hold my own in a dog-fight, because the whole point is, if I can majority beat you in a jet at 6.7, then it perfectly proves my point on why so late-props fight jets.
We can do that now if you want, I just did the test with percussioncap, he told me he will write about the results.
Also I just did a test drive with the G-6 and I am telling you, it will stand NO chance
