No it doesn’t unless thet are strictly just better in every metric or better in such a way the potential advantages of the other do not matter.
In the case of early jets vs late props they have different turn characteristics, not strictly better. However in general the jet will have the option to get a win based on energy retention in a turn fight

I meet them all the time since I bring props in my 6.7 ground lineup for Japan.
Retention where? High speed? sure. Low speed? Not a chance.
And early jets do NOT have the engine power to sustain hard turns at any speed, aside from aircraft like the Kikka which don’t pull very much (and thus have really good retention - definitely gets outturned though).

Again… meteor mk3 is better than props at low speed turns, 26deg/s or more sustained turn rate is no joke, while being a jet.
And before you come here with A7M2 or a biplane for that matter, those planes have way worse characteristics that are easy to exploit in different ways
If you’d like to test this in a custom battle, I am in-game right now. No early jet is gonna match props in a slow turnfight.
A7M2 is a high tier prop. Similar armament to Ki84 Ko, and that one goes all the way up to 6.3 with bigger cannons.
Retention is there generally at both high speed and at non-stall low speed. Its just that if you are at low speed you are fucked because a prop will be able to maintain some minimum speed better than a jet.
Retention doesn’t entail the jet will under every possible energy condition be able to win a fight with a prop
Sure, add me. But if you bring a biplane or something like that I will just energy fight you to death. If you bring a high tier prop that actually faces 7.0+ jets when uptiered, I will commit to a turn dogfight to prove my point
