Tornado F.3 is in the right BR, if it was higher it’d be an absolute pain to fly since its not at all competitive in 12.7 and at 13.0 it might as well stay on the ground. Having faced 12.7 and 13.0 planes in my Tornado, I can objectively say, if it went any higher, it’d be pointless. I’m not even going to grind for the Tornado F.3 Late because that thing has no business being in its BR with the flight model being as bad as it is.
There is talk about decompression all the time, and I think everyone wants it, but it is not that realistic (to convince the snail).
It is much easier to suggest and discuss that a single vehicle gets one less BR, and also more realistic than a full decompression. Of course some of the discussion is about wanting your vehicles to be better, but I would not blame the players that they don’t want a better game.

Moving a plane down in BR would be good for this specific plane, but without global decompression, make it worse for plenty of planes in lower BRs. Just look at the last changes, where all sabres and Migs gone down.

When I say realistic I mean realistic of it getting implemented, not realistic as impossible to do. An intern could change the battle ratings to something better than we have today. Spreading out the ratings would increase queue time and that’s something they’re very much against, hence why it hasn’t happened yet. That’s why players are much more keen on moving around ratings, it is actually something which the snail would implement.

Regardless of why you think decompression hasn’t happened yet you have to agree that a BR change is more likely to get implemented by Gaijin than a decompression. Therefore I think it is fair for players to advocate for the next best thing.

Changing BR of specific planes is half-baked work. The more it happens the more problems it produces.
Personally I do okay, beaten even a few F14s and F15s in BVR. But what is needed before the F3 could move up is full strength BOL, Phimat pod(s) and a finished FM. It could also get its Dechriped Aim-9L for a minor buff and in the future things like Towed Radar Decoys for improved survivability and pilot hand controls for a limited form of “HMD-like” functionality. It’s also got some outstanding QoL issues like the lack of Skyflast SuperTEMP LSZ information on the radar.
And just for memes, it needs it’s missing AoA toggle

FG1 should be 11.7, no reason for it to be 12.0
FGR2 should get 9L and/or SuperTEMPs and remain at 12.0.
F4J(UK) could get either change, but given it’s normally used as a base bomber for tree grinding and doesn’t get napalm (even though it could) I’d vote for the BR decrease
they are better than the F-4J at the same br (us) in terms of fm and they have basically the same missiles
Aim-7F is notably superior to the Skyflash DF which is a Aim-7E2 equivalent (you can also run the rather potent 6x SARH config that we cannot) and the F4J(US) has a HMD, small buff without HOBS but does help.
The British Phantoms have better low level acceleration and slightly better top speed, but at the cost of more weight, making them worse in a dogfight as they bleed energy much faster. (if you climb at all, the standard F-4 engines become superior to the British ones) The British Phantoms do also get slightly more CMs.
Also, cant dismiss the F-4J gets Napalm, which gives it incredible base bombing potential.
The F-4J is overall better for ARB than the FGR2/FG1 and the F-4S just destroys all 3 of them.

100% identical weapons kit to the F3 but with a worse RWR, Radar and CM suite, all on a slower platform.
Though either or would be enough, now SuperTEMPs are an option, that brings the Phantoms up to the Aim-7F ish performance of the other Phantoms.

also EJ Kai is 12.3 so…
Does also get the intergrated gun, which means it doesnt have to deal with the weight and drag of the gunpod. But ultimately that BR is just a mess. With the F-18s also at 12.3 that clown on the F-4EJ Kai
