While F-14A is faster than the F-14B, I do not inherently trust F-14A can do mach 1.2 on the deck like Tornado can, especially when their acceleration speeds are very similar:
50 seconds for Tornado F3.
56 seconds for F-14A.

Both use PD-headon radars of similar ranges and identical limitations.
F-14A can carry heavy fuel tanks as well if it wants to. F-14A consumes more fuel than Tornado ADV as well.

I don’t think you got the “gotcha moment” you were looking for. The Tornado does 19kph faster on the deck than the F-14A. The F-14A, on the other hand, has about 700KGf more thrust.

I totally agree in this part, but that doesn’t mean tornado F.3’s BR should have nerfed.
Since GB Phantoms has only disadvantages compared to F-4J,F-4S except for engine.
There are many other ways to correct this balance. such as buff Phantom FG’s into 11.7, or gave them historically used AIM-9Ls

The issue with 9Ls is they immediately go to 12.3 irrelevant of anything else purely due to the fact of JA-37C [dogfights the worst among all 11.3s in the game currently on top of having a self-destroying engine and heavy fuel for its fuel consumption], Kurnass 2000, and so forth.
Of course there are under-BR’d aircraft such as Mirage 2000.
The FGR.2 should get its historic AIM-9Ls and I think it would solve most of its problems at the current BR. AIM-9Gs are useless and extremely susceptible to flares, almost no point in carrying them when 90% of kills you’ll get in the FGR come from the much more potent Skyflash.
Also, the F-4S is better yet it sits at the same BR as the FGR.2, how’s that possible?
F4EJ Kai with 9Ls and 7F and an infinitely superior radar and RWR at 12.3
FGR.2 with absolutely none of that at 12.0, and worse bombs.
Very, very sad state British air is in. It could honestly get 9Ls and go down to 11.7 at this rate.
