People will still 1 death leave. The issue was never repair costs

I deeply understand

Yeah we are just discussing a game, no hard feelings harboured

Neither the change in the economy nor the change in the progression will change, this thought of dies and leaves, see the image below, everything is awarded and if they do nothing in the match, the gaijin has to punish these players. What is the research tree for if the guy uses a premium vehicle dies and leaves and not the vehicles in the research tree punish these guys.

i fell u bro… this is a shit.

War Thunder is not a Battle Royale the problem is not only the maps and the cost of repair but the mentality of the players who do not have punishment in other competitive games there is punishment in War Thunder must have punishment.

Punishment wont help here. What if player uses only 1 vehicle in the lineup since he just bought high BR premium and has nothing else to pair it with in that tech tree? Also game allows 1 vehicle lineups or 1 vehicle + 1 plane where player cannot spawn anything else when he dies.

Look at this, the guy buys a premium tank and he is level 9 with only 4 hours of tank, he comes to the top tier to ruin the match.

Instead of punishing 1 Death Leavers, rather figure out why they do it and then try to fix the cause? When I shoot a soviet T-34 mg port with aphe, why does that not 1 shot like with any other vehicle? If I shoot a KV-1 into the side, why does his track only get orange despite 151mm pen aphe? Why does it take 3-4 300+mm Sturmtiger Rockets to kill 1 Su-85 side on? Or a soviet milktruck tanking a 20mm strafing run and shredding me? The list could go on forever.

This whole game feels pointless to me. Russia stronk. Go play Russia. End of story.

I know there is a separate bias thread, but both is interconndcted for me. What is the point of playing anything else but russia? So when my shot bounces/gets absorbed by a T-34 turret or my pen does only a fraction of the damage it should, when I get faced with fictional russian fairystats, I rather just quit or try CAS.

Yes thats an issue but game allows it. If they would not allow it people wouldn’t buy premiums as much as they do now. So nothing will change.

Eliminate 1 vehicle lineups. It’s a start.

I am better than you, therefore I have just defeated your whole argument using your strategy.

Many of them aren’t real players, by the way.
And you can’t fight against that. Gaijin actively promotes such things. It promotes ODLs and it promotes botting with their actions.
Never noticed that no matter what you say, many people in ground RB just don’t respond? Meanwhile you can’t have an air RB match on top tiers without at least some chat activity.

The bad part is that Russian vehicles in game are just good, they bounce shots they shouldn’t bounce, and their shots penetrate armor that shouldn’t be penetrated. But most are just not fun vehicles. Germany has much more enjoyable vehicles, and probably Italy which I will start grinding soon.

So there’s a situation where Gaijin tells people they can either have fun vehicles but lose every match, or have mediocre vehicles but stomp any enemy.

I have the Leopard 2 PzBtl 1234, Merkava 2D, and Turmsty. For some unknown reason the Turmsty just lands so much more shots than the other 2, penetrates and 1-shot kills much more, and tanks way more shots than either of the above. It’s just ridiculous. But it’s not a fun vehicle.

War Thunder is the most punishing game I’ve ever played. If anything, Gaijin punishes players far too much. It just doesn’t reward the type of behavior that would counter ODL. In fact, it punishes that as well. ODL is one of the most rewarding techniques in WT in terms of RP and SL gains.

Eh…that’s the most a lot of them can probably hope for. A lot of the premium purchases that those kinds of people will be spending on ‘charge hourly’ if you follow…

Overall, the ODL mentality isn’t a surprise. There are a lot of naive people who insist that ODLing is a good idea…and they just don’t have any clue what they’re talking about.

Personal responsibility and the idea of working for a win (and then yielding the fruits of that win) are foreign to them.

Those 2 are both better than turmy

While your post is out of place and strange in switching completely off the discussion topic, it did remind me of this: there are legitimate reasons to only play one spawn in multi-spawn modes like RB GFs.

The most obvious one offhand is doing tasks with ___ sort of vehicle…that I can see.

Haven’t played the Leo 2 much since I’m still climbing the ranks in Germany, but the Merkava 2D is objectively worse than the Turmsty because it gets frequent uptiers due to its 9.3 BR.
Despite featuring a very modern shell that should easily penetrate a T-72, it’s just pointless to shoot it anywhere but the LFP, which in about 1/3rd of shots will only do minor damage like killing driver and fuel tank.

The Merkava, despite its design involving a significant amount of life saving features, is very un-survivable. The turret is not armored in game, and most shots will kill 2-3 crewmen. 1-shot kills are more frequent than 1 crew deaths.

The Turmsty is just really tanky for me, super accurate and powerful. It’s not mobile, but it’s compensated by its very good performance. I can be very careless with it, and constantly score high. I find that most matches are just landslide victories with it. And I run the most disgusting lineup for it - 2S38 and T-55AM-1. Never have I seen something so OP, especially in other trees.

well, you are not wrong, but that is beside the point… I am superior and people need to step up their game.

It wont happen due to high BR premiums they sell. And those sell a lot.
