All of this is correct.
At a more fundamental level however, players quit when their frustration passes a critical threshold.
This threshold is completely subjective, varies from day to day, and can be triggered or not trigger because of so many reasons that the player themselves may not realise it. On top of that, PVP games will always be less “cozy” than single player, and F2P games use a certain amount of frustration as part of their monetisation incentive structure.
So, the issue will never go away.
They don’t want to dilute players into too many modes, are very risk-averse when it comes to changing a formula that is earning them money, and the game has ballooned so fast beyond its original infrastructure that at this point it’s closer to an emergent property than a coherent design. A jumble of legacy systems, new vehicles, ad hoc updates, and lame rationalisations.

why did i do it ?
because i was looking at 2 strv 122 that had killed all my team mates meanwhile i had stock heat or a 105mm gun (also no m900).
there are a few rules which i basically consider game over and i leave no mater how many deaths or how the game is appearing to go
spawn camping(pushing) brits and maus/other slow heavies
the spawn is overrun unless i am aiming for the spawn pushers which can be easy kills
but since the economy fix i have larger linups and even using them way more
As stated multiple times before, 1DL is & was common due to a plethora of reasons.
Getting spawn camped, loosing the Match due to lost map control, wanting to spade a specific vehicle, getting overrun by CAS a.s.o. a.s.f. all factors in.
The repair cost only added to the “F this, I don’t want to participate in this anymore”, but never was the ONLY reason for the majority (imo) to leave the match.

but if they removed the repair costs entirely (or made them ridiculously cheap to repair, like 200 SL) i would probably just spawn in again and again… but that doesnt really include the mini “rage quits” which imo are just when i am getting shot from 3 entirely different sides of the map, while my team … does jack S- word

Thing is there was no team they were all dead or very very far away
I WILL LEAVE if I get insta killed as soon as I move an inch out of spawn in the first minute of a game.
If Gaijin wants people to stay longer, they should stop making maps where you can literally snipe enemy spawn from your own.
And the CAS… You spawn, hit W and hear the KA-50’s missile coming towards you, is there anything you can do? NO.
People need a reason to keep playing this game, it should be enjoyable and competitive , not frustrating.
Yea and speaking of cas maybe gave the aa same space behind the battlefield to be bette protected from spam pushers
You staying in the game and feeding the enemy SP is sabotage, you are the saboteur
It’s only sabotage if you’re actually not doing anything at all… Kills aren’t everything, and you can do more than just rush out to die.
But this is what You do without kills „rush to die”
To prevent feeding the enemy SP you could think about stop using the button “to battle”.
Or maybe You should kill more enemies before You die, as it would mean that You took more than You gave.
You stay in game, spawn again, move a bit out of the spawn and get insta killed AGAIN.
This shouldn’t happen, even realistically
Going on to Warthunder somewhat habitually,running into the Down tier after a minute and dying,then realizing you are in no mood for this crud and turning it off.That is probably what you are witnessing.
Then you go again two hours later in a better mood,more chilled out and loving it as the kill tally mounts.
That is the way it is.
Repair Costs, limited Parts, and FPE(at one time). Etc. were all issues, 1 death leave is only one of many issues it isn’t the primary issue though. I’ve seen matches where we are merely a quarter of the enemy team and we still managed to win against them. Simply because we were covering each other’s backs, repairs, etc.
I just left after zero deaths.Spawned a German Heavy in WW2(Porsche Tiger) and got the modern Sun City map.
Drove in the dark at 5 MPH or whatever it does ,couldn’t see an enemy as other players got 3 or 4 kills around me somewhere and I got bored and turned the game off…Sorry !
I find mywelf 1DL if I see a lvl 9 in 5.3 perfectly shooting across the map with perfect weakspot knowledge on a tank he doesn’t even own/isn’t available in the tech tree.
If your team is suddenly cut by 3-4 players then you have a huge disadvantage and you cant play as well as you would with more support from team mates.
