Panzer IV J and H should be a 4.7 or 5.0 tank

Just nerf RoF of T-34 and KV-1s and the Pz IV and Sherman’s can move up in BR 😉

The T-34-57 has a 5s reload in a two man turret with no cupola, sitting at 4.7 while a Pz IV H is at 3.7 with a 5.9s reload.

Imagine a Pz IV with no cupola and two men turret, that also shrunk in size.
Oh and the commander and loader are standing on ammunition boxes instead of having a turret basket.

You can’t turn the turret and look for targets at the same time.
Every time you spot a target from the hatch or periscopes there’s a delay of moving to the gun controls.

T-34s should be fighting short and long barreled Pz IIIs on equal terms.

Not outperforming even the Pz IV.

stabilisers dont mean anything and im tired of pretending they do

Stabilizer make a huge difference in mobile/close quarter fighting. And you’re somewhat proving my point by just ignoring the other stuff brought up.

Fr. Alot of German tanks are so unreasonably stable that they genuinely have an advantage over a 15mph stabilizer whilst on the move.

the panzer 4 especially is a very sturdy platform for such a monster of a gun.

Well the shells for T34-57 are half the weight of the PzGr 39, and though ergonomics of the T34 turret might not be optimal, the gun/breach would take up less room than the 75mm gun of the panzer, making things for gunner/loader easier. Complaining about a , 1 sec diff in reload does not seem reasonable to me. Especially considering the Pz 4 has a full second advantage in reload vs standard T34.

The standard T34 has weaker gun but much better armor and mobility, so it outperforming Pz 4 (in some situations) is not outlandish. Why do you think the Germans created the Panther?

yeah getting the first shot off consistently against unstablized tanks definitely doesn’t mean anything

The thread is about the 5.0 and below BR range, isn’t it?
Most, if not all the stabilizers at those BRs only work at very low speeds, so they really don’t matter much. Especially when considering that most tanks without those single plane/shoulder-stop stabilizers can achieve extremely stable aim by driving at similar speeds.

they work at 22-24kph and under which is a very wide range of engagements

Again, at those speeds you can get a stable enough aim to not need a stabilizer with most tanks
The only real advantage you have with the stabilizer is that a rough terrain doesn’t affect you as much

stabilizer always gets first shot, you arent matching stabs

Mate, we are talking about speeds below 25 km/h here, there isn’t much to “match”

You don’t need a stabilizer at those speeds to hit the first shot and if we are talking about a situation where both sides have to slow down, the other side still has ample opportunity to hit a shot while slowing down

Greatly exaggerating the stability of ww2 tanks

If you can’t get the first shot off cause your enemy has a stab, then you’re doing smthn wrong.

silly take

Guess I must just be a god at the game then, can’t explain it otherwise

Panzer IV, Puma (234/2), T-34, Chi-To, Cromwell, etc at ~25 km/h are plenty stable from my experience

Tbf id personally have a stabilizer but you can make your shots more stable by not slamming the breaks and letting yourself slow down naturally. Its how i handled the Panthers gun bounce
