Panther A should be move to 5.7

Even assuming the KV-85 is the highest BR vehicle in your lineup it could still face the Panther F in an uptier. Can it pen the Panther F? Yes - but - has a more difficult time than the VK would, and gets worse with distance.

And since the only other BR 5.0 tank in RUS tech-tree is the SU 85M, the user could be forcing the rest of the lineup “up” to 5.0, or the KV-85 could be facing even more difficult enemies at 6.3+ when the lineup includes T34-85 (DST) and/or ISU-122. Think jagdpanther.

You rarely (25% or less) face opponents at the BR of your top vehicle. The VK uptiers better in terms of killing opponents.

Currently Germany has 6 medium tanks (3x Pz III and 3x Pz IV) at rank 2, along with another 8 rank-2 vehicles of varying classes for a total of 14 rank2 vehicles. That’s a LOT.

Only has 2 mediums at rank 3, and you have to wait for BR 5.0 to get one, or rely on the spgs (which have issues on some maps due to being casemates)

So doing Tier 3 tasks in Germany forces the player to go up higher BR to participate confidently, as relying on two spgs at 4.3 would be a bit of handicap.

They could easily move the Pz IV H to rank 3.

When doing Tier 3 tasks, I often use my Italian or China line-up as they give decent options at an easier (and cheaper) BR. Russia is also not bad with T-34 57, KV-1 Zis5 and BTR-152D.

Its rank 3 roster is also huge though.

You can bring Ostwind into the lineup and as long as you spawn it, it counts. A relatively simple workaround.

Interesting…

So does the Ostwind’s mere presence in the lineup qualify the player for Task 3 completion?

Or does it need to be used in the battle?

The R2Y2s fuselage was built (in prop configuration), it’s engines where built, but it’s been removed… V2 and V3 where always a serious stretch due to the fuselage redesigns for the engines/ air intakes, but the V1 was at least as real at the Panther F as it’s airframe actually flew:

And for reference, the Me-262 was also prop driven in it’s first prototype stages:

Either the Panther F should go OR the R2Y2 V1 should return.

VK faces the M36 at 5.3, which is highly mobile, has very good turret traverse and the 90mm just cuts through the VKs armor like paper.

Same with something like the Avenger and the Challenger. They are all more mobile and have massively better turret traverse.

The VKs Kryptonite. Not even 6.0 vehicles.

You don’t need to spawn it. But you do need to do the following.

When the battle begins, select the Ostwind as if you wanted it to be your first spawn. Then, before the 20 seconds run out, select another vehicle to spawn in. Congratulations, now your whole match is Rank III and counts for the second daily task.

This is also why Rank IIIs at low BR are so valuable. It’s not just that you can do tasks with them. It’s that they “up rank” your entire lineup so long as you at least select them for a spawn (irrespective of whether you do spawn them).

Well that’s the easiest choice I’ve had to make in these discussions lol.

Must be spawned. The tasks only require you to use a single rank3 vehicle in the match at any time and the entire match will count.

*apparently not, see my final quote in this message lol

If you are playing USA, the XF5F is rank 3 and 2.3.

I have seen discussion elsewhere that this is actually a very early R2Y2 fuselage (what you posted is the R2Y1) due to the lack of some coutouts and the top intake, but there’s no way to verify this at this time since it’s so incomplete.

The difference is that the R2Y1 was meant from the very start to be a propeller-driven unarmed recon aircraft and was built as such; it was later chosen as a prime jet conversion airframe due to its physical characteristics (large, able to hold much fuel internally for thirsty jet engines) and because Yokosuka wasn’t doing much.

V1 could make a return and it’d be just fine, I think that was the configuration they settled on. V2 and V3 are based on proposed Kikka configurations and are fictional. I wouldn’t mind it at all (I already have all three R2Y2s) but this is absolutely not the same as the Panther F and Me 262, which from the very start were the new turret and new jet fighter/interceptor respectively.

No way, that actually works??

You have no idea how many “Firepower” tasks I’ve completed with the Dicker Max thanks to this one trick 😁

You’re happy to ignore that VK has a horrible turret traverse, worse armor, worse reverse, etc. All things which very much do matter and come together to cause the current BR.

But does it also work for Events?

I think it does. I haven’t really tested it because usually the 3.0 - 5.0 area becomes hell on earth during ground events as lots of skilled players drop down to complete tasks faster, and rare powerful vehicles begin to multiply. I tend to do events at 6.7, because it plays very similarly to what it does during non event time. But when we get the next ground event I’ll test this out and tell you.

On contrary, I didn’t. Nice reach, though.

Yeah, just using the 234/1 is much simpler, i dont want to waste a couple of hours.

I’ll tell you anyways when I have a chance to find out 😌

So, you think it should be massively uptiered, despite a ton of weaknesses and downsides. To the point it gets absolutely destroyed by a bunch of 5.3 tanks already?

I mean you said you didn’t miss it, what else is your explanation for moving it up then despite such glaring weaknesses and downsides?

A rare event panther doesn’t count

Are you really talking to me?
