Did two battles already with that lineup, but in both cases I used the Ostwind (even though it was stock). Amazing how useful that 37mm gun can be at that BR.
But since the vehicles are so cheap to repair I’ll test out your suggestion.
Still no idea it if works. Lost every battle so far I tried it in. Ugh.
I’m just an average player, but with the absolute trash teams I was saddled with, I looked more like Michael Wittmann.
Boy do I hate the tasks that have “win” as part of the requirements. Need 12 wins, but it’s gonna be like 25-30 battles. Yeeeesh.
Oh please. You demanded a massive BR increase in a vacuum. When people questioned your only argument really was “big funny gun and decent pen”. Which, isn’t unique to the Vk3002.
People then pointed out all the downsides and how it would struggle even in slight uptiers, as it’s ability to react, reposition, and even move it’s turret are limited and it’s armor is not very good. Which you pretty much just handwaved away.
You are saying: It can’t pen a Panther F from the front.
I’m saying: You’re going to get killed by more mobile vehicles with fast turret traverse speed who don’t care about your armor.
How is that different?
If you can’t pen a Panther F, you might die.
If you run into someone who is more reactive and negates your armor, you most likely going to die.
The only thing uptier safe about the VK is when you use it as a TD and just camp from range, instead of playing it like a medium tank.
Because it’s practically a TD.
How is it different from a M10 at 3.3? Sure the M10 doesn’t have the armor and is probably also not that mobile, but it will easily kill everything it faces and the gun is practically the best for it’s BR.
And when played hull down it’s quite the menace and they even buffed the RoF to an insane 5s.
So in your opinion the VK is better suited for uptiers, while I‘m saying the VK doesn’t even need to see full uptiers to face enemies that completely negate its advantages.
I‘m not steering the conversation in any direction.
I‘m just providing counter arguments.
To penetrate a tank you first have to shoot them.
Therefore higher penetration is nothing but a theoretical value that doesn’t mean anything.
A vehicle that can penetrate any top tier tank can still be useless by not being able to shoot before it’s killed.
The VK has more pen but is also limited by the chassis.
So while it can theoretically pen more vehicles, it also is going to miss more chances to shoot other vehicles could have taken.
Which plays right into a vehicles combat efficiency or otherwise known as Battle Rating.
Every vehicle has some advantages and some downsides.
When it comes to wagers, you don’t even need to have it selected in the garage. Just the presence of a tank 3 upranks your entire lineup. Strange how tasks and wagers work differently.
