The panther A should be moved to 5.7 as it has a shot trap, and weaker turret armour than both the G and F model. Not a huge change but, it just makes sense. Also would be nice to get a premium panther for Germany.

I kind of agree, but its not the end of the world. Now a prem panther. I have wanted that for years. They really missed the opportunity to put one in the tiger pack. I would of much prefered the ostwind, a tiger, and a panther

I have only gotten a shot trap to actually happen when facing the chinless panthers ONCE in actual battles.
It is not a thing to consider.
heres a counterargument:
Its a medium tank the same BR as the late production Tiger 1 heavy tank.
It has more effective armour
It has a more effective gun with a faster reload.
Its faster and more mobile (excl reverse)
If we use the Tiger 1 which id say is very well balanced as a marker it all the panthers (other than D and VK3002) should be 6.3
One last thing to add that will probs annoy you
PANTHER F IS A FAKE It shouldnt even be in game, that and Ostwind 2 should have seen the fate of panther 2, tiger 2 105mm and R2Y2
While a few Schmalturm examples existed a full panther F never saw completion, the only “photgraph” of a complete “production” F is a doctored image of a much earlier panther in a scrapheap
Delete the files too.
Keep them for all or delete for all is a fairer thing to do.
I wasnt playing when a lot of the german fakes were still available. I shouldnt be punished by facing things that are unattainable for me.
the german fakes, russian fakes and japanese fakes (R2Y2 and HO-RI) should probably be annual event unlocks like maus just to keep them exclusive but not punishing the newer generation of players

I wont say its as fake as the others removed as we 100% know the turret was built and photographed in the UK. If it was mounted to a hull is another story.
There is photographs of prototypes that were built but to what extent is unclear

If the turret was made, that alone is enough.
Or, how about undo the engine governor nerf on all Panthers and punt them up to where they probably belong?
- Panther A with 700hp engine could easily be 6.3 or 6.7.
- Panther G with 700hp engine could easily be 6.3-6.7.
- Panther F with 700hp engine would be without a doubt 6.7 due to better RoF and rangefinder.
- Jagdpanther would be without a doubt 6.7.
- And even before factoring in the coming gun buff, the Coelian would also be 6.7 material. If it also had its missing APCR belts (142mm pen) it’d be easy 7.3-7.7 material after the coming update.
Furthermore, a global un-nerfing of APCR would also justify such a change - PzGr40/42 should pen around 265mm, not the current 224mm. 88mm PzGr40/43 should do 305mm pen.
And all APCR should spall similarly to solid AP from the same cannon, as tungsten carbide shatters into way more small fragments after penetration compared to the same mass of steel. Comparative postpen tests for US 90mm APBC and APCR showed essentially no difference.
The Panthers are already perfectly fine at 6.0.

Are you seriously arguing these tanks deserve to be at the same BR as the Tiger 2, IS-2, T44, American T26+T34, and go up against cold war stuff such as the IS4M, Conqueror, etc?

With their old engine power, and restoratively buffing a historically underperforming ammunition type so they can compete? Yes indeed, but only with those caveats.
I remember seeing on the old forum how people argued about the Panther A being generally better than the M26 back when it had the old 700hp engine. With my current experience now, I do see the Pershing as better, but not by all that much.
you can play panthers easily at 6.7, they are much better at 6.0 but they still perform at this br…
Yeah,they need to move all Panthers back to 5.7,they suffer atm. Also we have premium Panther A.
